Hand in hand, Rose and Juliet run after the Doctor across the London Bridge towards the eye.

They stop next to the Doctor.

"Think of it. Plastic, all over the world. Every artificial thing, waiting to come alive. The shop window dummies, the phones, the wires, the cables..."

"The breast implants...", Rose said absentmindedly.

"Still, we've found the transmitter. The Consciousness must be somewhere underneath.",
The Doctor continued.

Rose runs off and finds the entrance to a manhole at the door of the wall she is looking over

"Rose! Come back!", Juliet shouts after her, a worried look on her face.

"What about down here?", She asks.

The Doctor and Juliet run over to join her.

"Don't scare me like that! I thought you'd get hurt!", Juliet slaps her arm.

"Ow!", Rose rubs the spot.

Juliet raises her nose in the air and turns away with a simple, "Hmm."

"Looks good to me.", The Doctor says, referring to the manhole.

They all run down the stairs to the manhole. The Doctor takes the lid off it, and red light and smoke pours out of it. They all climb down the ladder underground.

The Doctor opens to the door to another chamber and they go down some steps. The Doctor points to a huge, orange, wobbling mass in the middle of the chamber.

"The Nestene Consciousness, that's it, inside the vat. A living, plastic creature.", The Doctor says breathlessly.

"Well, then. Tip in your anti-plastic and let's go.", Rose says.

"I'm not here to kill it. I've got to give it a chance.", The Doctor says with an unreadable look on his face.

He runs down some more steps. Rose mad Juliet look at each other with a glance that says everything: Why?

They run after the Doctor who has positioned himself to lean against a railing and is currently addressing the Consciousness.

"I seek audience with the Nestene Consciousness under peaceful contract. According to convention 15 of the Shadow Proclamation.", He says.

The Consciousness merely flobbles around a bit.

"Thank you. That I might have permission to approach.", The Doctor continues to talk to the Consciousness.

Meanwhile, as Rose paces around behind him, she spots Mickey and alerts Juliet before they run over to him. The Doctor rolls his eyes.

"Oh, my god! Mickey! It's okay! It's alright!", Rose exclaims.

Both girls squat down next to him.
