I came up with a quick excuse.

"We really don't do kissing-" I said

"No it's okay, do it. Just on the cheek though." Kyle said.

"Fine, i'll take that." The boy smirked.

I looked over to Kyle.

He gave me a reassuring smile.

I smiled back nervously.

I walked closer to Kyle.

I gulped and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

I looked at Kyle's face to see his reaction but surprisingly.

He didn't cringe or show a disgusted reaction.

"Fine im convinced." The boy said.

He walked away with his head down

I turned to Kyle and gave him a hug.

"Thank you." I said.

"Its no problem, no one should ever treat you that way." Kyle said as he ruffled my hair a bit.

I pulled back from the hug.

"Great my hair is a mess now." I said as i pulled out my hair tie.

"You look better with your hair down anyways. Actually you look gorgeous everyday." Kyle said.

"Your complimenting me. What do you want?" I asked.

"Like we discussed. Here's all the groceries on the list. Now can we have some fun?" Kyle asked as he handed me the basket.

"Wait." I said as i grabbed the basket from him.

I checked everything.

He had gotten everything on his list.

They weren't expensive OR expired.

"Vey Impressive Kyle Klimson." I said handing him his basket back.

"Great! Now can we have fun?" Kyle asked

"I still have MY list to do." I said.

"Oh come onnnnn." Kyle whined.

I sighed and smiled

"I feel bad. To make it up to you, you can ride on the cart while i look for cinnamon, carrots and potatoes." I said.

"Yes!" Kyle said

I feel like we should be talking about that kiss...

But i dont wanna make things awkward...

Maudie POV

"Okay next on the list is..... one small bag of rice." I said.

"Oh i think i saw it on the 4th isle." Ezra said.

"Great lets go." I said as i grabbed his hand.

I lead him to the 4th isle and we searched for the bag of rice there.

Its been a great day.

Im having a good time with Ezra and

We saved Ava about 5 dollars.

"Oh Hi Lovebirds!" A familiar squeaky voice said.

We turned to find Yvette there.

Luckily this time she was with her mum.

"Oh Hi Yvette." I said.

"Hi Maudie and Ezra!" Yvette said waving her hand really fast.

"Its really nice bumping into you here." Yvette's mum said.

"It really is." I smiled as i gave Yvette a little pat on the head.

"Hope im not interrupting anything romantic. Like a date." Yvette's mum said.

"Were not dating." Ezra said.

"Awh too bad, you guys seem made for each other." Yvette's mum said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes, now we should get getting. We only came here to get some rice." Yvette's mum said.

"Bye lovebirds!" Yvette said as her mum pulled her away.

Talking to Yvette's mum explains a lot about Yvette.

Once Yvette and her mum were out of plain sight, i looked at Ezra.

His face was really red from embarrassment...

"Like mum like daughter. Right?" I said as i nudged his arm.

"Right." He smiled.
