I didn't even think this could be Sub drop. I mean it makes sense it's been ages since I last slipped and that was with a guy I was like actually seeing. Still. I'm sure I'm just getting a bug. It's October. It's cold and everyone's getting sick.
I left my bowl beside the sink and then went up to bed. I'll be alright after I've slept. I will say a positive to this gross feeling is that I fell asleep really quickly.
My mood wasn't much better when I woke up again a few hours later. I didn't feel sick. I just felt not good. Like that feeling where something just isn't right. I felt numb. Not sad, not angry, not tired just numb but at the same time I had so much going on in my brain that was telling me all sorts of things. I don't really like to bother Master Julian because I know how busy he is but right now I honestly just wanted someone to rub my back and tell me it's okay. I'm a hopeless romantic secretly. On the outside, I'm just this huge flirt but inside I really want to be praised and told I look pretty and then get given little gifts of adoration. That's something that I don't like about myself, my love language. I have multiple but one of my main ones is receiving gifts. It's my favourite thing in the world to know that someone saw something and thought about me but it just makes me seem greedy in my mind. I hope people don't see me as greedy. I work really hard for my money but sometimes it's nice to not have to budget so much. I work pretty much all the time but I'm currently saving up for a better car.
Anyway, once that I could calm my brain down a little bit I sent Master Julian another message. "The bad feeling hasn't gone away, can I please come to the Club. I don't want to be alone," I messaged him. I don't care if I sounded desperate or sad I didn't want to be home alone. It didn't take long for me to get a reply.
"Of course you can, Riley. I'll be right here for you, I'm going to send you a taxi, I don't want you driving. Send me your address." I smiled a little at this.
"Thank you, Sir," I messaged him back with my address. I pulled on some comfy clothes and waited for the taxi to arrive.
Julian's POV
I have a long list of things I need to do today, the market is coming up so I need to make sure everything will be set up for it. I also need to figure out who will be working. I'm thinking of having a larger group working and giving them each time to explore. I also need to just double check on the people who are going to be performing, the people I'm hiring to do demonstrations and a second photographer. Plus I need to also at some point check up on Riley after last night. He was very out of it by the end of the night. I've never seen him slip so hard.
I heard a knock on my door, I was in my office it's a lot easier to concentrate. "Enter," I called. As the door opened I saw Denton. "Ah good, you're right on time. I've got a couple of jobs for you." He's been going through a very difficult time at home and he turned to alcohol as his only means of escape. He lost his job and was nearly kicked out of his flat so I took him on as my assistant. Honestly, it's a mutually beneficial package for the two of us. I've had someone to share my workload with and he's in a positive working environment where he is being looked after. I gave him the job of working out an arrangement for the stalls. I have an idea in my head of how they should be arranged but I'm curious how he will do it. Before he sat down he asked if he could make me a coffee and I nodded. "Make yourself something as well," I told him. He nodded.
Once he had sat down he got started with his work only stopping to look around the room as he was thinking. As I was organising a couple of folders out of the corner of my eye I noticed he had stood up. "Today's a big day," he told me randomly. I looked at him. It can't have been his birthday I would've known if it was.
