Little Time

you were given permission to slack off by kuromi since you know you got shot, though you could do your work, you spend time with Shinano. Shinano was spending time with the destroyers and you tagged along with her, walking to a building that looked like a school you see a playground 

"hmm i never saw this before," you commented 

"that's because you never come to this side of the base, we made this area to keep the children safe," Shinano said 

"It feels weird seeing a school on base," you said "i guess it gives them a normal life away from war," 

"This is more of a daycare than a school the little destroyers are chaperoned by the older ships," Shinano said "though they're having hard times keeping up with the younger ones," 

"ones in charge of the  daycare," you ask 

"Mikasa is incharge," Shinano said

"she looks young she can't be having that much trouble," you said this made Shinano smile 

"Jin she older than all of us and she doesn't know what an airplane is," Shinano said "do you possibly like older women," she teased 

"oh, I see," you felt embarrassed "well i guess your right you are older than me," 

"hmmph I'm not that old," Shinano pouted 

you open the door and it was chaos the floor was littered with toys and children screaming, but they all look at Shinano and run towards her

"Shinano-neesan," all the destroyers scream your ears start bleeding 

"Hello, children have you guys been behaving," Shinano asked, they all the destroyers start sweating 

"no they're being showa-brats," Mikasa cried "they don't listen to me," Mikasa threw a fit that was awkward to watch until she stopped moving 

"oh no Mikasa," Shinano said 

comical tears came out of Mikasa's eyes and you puts a hand on her back 

"ow," she cried Shinano went to help her, 

"Jin watch the kids will I help Mikasa," Shinano said she carried Mikasa to the medical post "don't worry kids you'll have a sub for today," 

as soon as Shinano left all the kids started screaming and running around 

"if you keep screaming you won't get snacks," you yelled, all the kids stopped running 

"why," one asked 

"I won't reward you, children, if you act like brats," you said "now gather around children its storytime,"  you look at the bookshelf and pick out a book and you start to read to them the hungry hungry manjuu 

they listen to you as you told them the story and laughed when the Manju was fat and eventually they all fell asleep 

you start cleaning up the classroom you pick up the toys on the ground and crayons, the door opens and zuikaku enters and looks at you 

"so you were taking of for Mikasa-san," zuikaku said 

"yep, i was the replacement for the Mikasa," you replied "so are you taking over," 

"yes I'm taking over you can leave now," zuikaku said 

you left the daycare, you had time to kill so you walk to the garden, it had a koi pond and in the middle a massive sakura tree. walking around its quiet and you walk around, a flute can be heard 

(just listen to the flute part,)
