The Radiator Springs townsfolk met at Traffic Court – hatching a plan for a comeback.

"...what if he just showed up at Rush's house?" Ramone suggested.

"Does he even have a house?" Lightning asked.

"If he does – I might gatecrash it. By gatecrash – I mean break some stuff. By break some stuff – I mean..." Dash said, still fuming – before Demetria cut him off.

"Calm down, Dash. Now you're just being petty," she observed.

"Petty? What he did to me was petty!" Dash blurted out.

"Just let this go for now. We gotta focus on coming up with a comeback story." Demetria told him.

"Wait... I has an idea. What if we 'git a camera and record Dash tauntin' him back?" Mater suggested.

"Oh my... a response video. That's a brilliant idea!" Sally chimed in.

"Where the heck could we do it? Wouldn't that just give away where I am? I don't want people finding out where I am yet!" Dash started to ramble. Demetria leaned in and silenced him with a tire.

"Why don't we set up a green screen or something? That would surely throw him off." Demetria suggested.

"Where the heck are we going to get a green screen from?" the Sheriff asked.

"I might have one in our house somewhere. We had to use one a few times for promotional shoots." Lightning chimed in.

"Oh, how convenient!" Dash said sarcastically.

"I sense a bit of a tone coming from this direction." Demetria openly taunted, pointing toward Dash in the process.

"I was actually being somewhat serious. We could actually use that." Dash said.

"Wow, look at you; all calm now." Demetria continued poking fun at the rookie racer.

"I guess that was before we hatched a comeback plan." Dash winked at Demetria, causing her to blush slightly.

"Also, look at you not questioning us all of the sudden!" he blurted out.

"Oh, hush now," Demetria smirked, hushing Dash with a tire once again.

"Hey. Focus up. We need to do something about Dash's racing skills before we even set foot in front of a camera." Sally advised.

"Oh, he won't need training. I've seen what he can do." Demetria turned around and winked at Dash. "Just give him a track and some confidence and he's ready to go."

"Where have you watched me race?" Dash asked.

"YouTube is a beautiful thing, hot rod. Besides, wouldn't be that different in real-time." Demetria smirked.

"You believe in my abilities that much? You really are in love with me, huh?" Dash playfully quipped.

"Not as in love as I'll be watching you race... and kicking that traitor's rear bumper to the curb!" Demetria smirked at him again equally as playful.

"You're so aggressive right now. I like this side of Demetria." Dash continued.

"We get it... You're in love! Can we please focus? If you want to prove to us you're good enough – do a few laps with Lightning." Sally advised.

"Alright, fine. I'll do my best." Dash said.

Later that evening – the townsfolk were split into two groups. One began setting up the green screen out the back of Flo's café – the other out on the dirt track at Willie's Butte practicing.
