tausendsassa (40.)

Start from the beginning

"Hello?"

He doesn't have a shirt on. He doesn't have a shirt on. He doesn't have a shirt on.

"Tim? Tim? Are you okay?"

"Y-yes. I just- Um. Oh! I can't speak French. Can you translate?"

He chuckles. "Only you would go to France alone when you don't speak French."

~

After a whole lot of translating, I finally get to the place where Santi is having a meeting. He better still be here.

I storm into the building and nod my head at the receptionist before stepping into the first elevator I see.

"Sir, you can't just-"

The elevator doors close before she gets to finish her sentence. Sucks for her.

Before I know it the doors of the elevator open and I search the floor for Santiago. Which is kind of a problem 'cause this is one huge floor.

I run through a hallway. Shit, left or right? Right should be right, right?

I start to take off in, what I hope is, the right way when I spot people coming out of a conference room. I immediately stop walking and squint my eyes.

Is that..? He has a pink bundle in his hands so yes.

I give him my best icy glare. As if he feels it - which he does of course, I have like, superpowers - he looks up at me and smirks when he recognizes me. He smirks. How dare he?

I storm up to him. "Put my niece down cobarde." [Coward]

He gives me an offended look. "She's my daughter before that puta." [Whore]

I scoff. "She already likes me more than you, perra. And give me my phone back." [Slut]

"Who says I took it with me on the plane sabelotodo?" [Smart ass]

He's lucky Lily's here to protect him. I try to glare a whole into his eyes and he notices.

"Here." He sighs and grabs my phone from his pocket. "Why do you need it so bad anyway?"

"I'm almost at level 1100 in Candy Crush." I don't even look at him anymore and open my phone to continue the game.

I pretend not to hear the next thing he says.

"You're such a middle-aged mom."

~

"What do you mean all the rooms are booked?" I hear San almost yell at the poor receptionist. We're in a hotel lobby and Santi is trying to get us, our bodyguards and our driver a place to sleep for tonight.

I look at Lily. "You're daddy is so cute when he's mad at someone. He's like a giant teddy bear, am I right?"

"Th- The penthouse is still available. It h- has multiple bedrooms sir." I hear the receptionist say.

"Por el amor de Dios! That isn't too much to ask right? Seeing as you're under my payroll?" He fumes.

"I-I'm sorry sir. Here are your roomkeys and I hope you have a great stay."

Smart girl, trying to get rid of him as fast as possible. I stand up and follow Santi while the guards and Armani trail behind the three of us.

I need sleep. And some chicken nuggets.

HUNTERS POV (back to where we left of in the last chapter)

She scoffs. "You want to get to know me."

She says it as if it's the most absurd thing she's ever heard.

"Yeah, I do."

Her head turns my way and I wouldn't be surprised if she just got a whiplash.

"Why?" She looks genuinely curious.

"Because you're interesting."

And because I like you. But I'm too much of a coward to admit it.

Fuck off.

"Interesting?" She scoffs again. "That's funny."

"I think so, plus you're not like the other girls." I say in a weird voice.

"Ew, don't say that." She says with a scrunched up nose and a smile on her face.

I laugh.

We both finish our ice creams in a comfortable silence. I don't want to go back to the hotel.
