We stayed up the entire night, drinking and exchanging declarations of peace and war. Theo was a humorous person in general but was especially hilarious drunk, and Levai only became more loved up, as if the alcohol softened everything that blocked out his truest affections for everything he saw. Samael on the other hand, despite drinking most out of all of us, seemed to have had no effect from the alcohol at all.

"Reid's saying to go out tonight, Renny's with them."

I looked curiously to Levai, interrupting our dalliance where we had been smiling at each other for a while now. It was almost a competition of sorts, finding it absolutely hilarious when the one tried to outsmile the other.

"Renny's our friend and Oliver's partner from University, you'll like them." I took Levai's words in, and I could feel my face start to hurt. "I give up smiling, it's too hard.." my words came out all slurred as he stretched out his arm, resting comfortably on my shoulder. I held his hand as it dangled downstairs, kissing it.

"You guys make me physically sick." Theo pretended to vomit near us, which for some reason sent us into a giggling fit as we walked down the street. Our steps were slightly fumbled as we strolled down, all except Samael's. He'd taken off his jacket when we were at Levai's so he'd had had to have been immune to the cold to survive it.

It was winter over all.

"Carla is there so we'll have to be a little incoc- incognito.." Theo nearly tumbled over at his mispronunciation. Ah yes, dick jokes. Every drunk's arch nemesis.

I couldn't help but laugh at Samael's disgruntled expression, as he cursed us out in French. We were embarrassing him.

"Mi lady." Levai says with his best attempt at a British accent that made me die inside. We returned to the same nightclub as before, where the strobe lights fixated on us yet again.

I'd changed before we came, obviously to my better judgement. A dress shirt wouldn't exactly be fun to wear out in public. It was a black little dress that sparkled under the lights, accentuating my every curve. I didn't feel it often, but right now I felt hot and I relished in it.

Levai let his touch go from me to which caused a hint of sadness considering it would soon become a reality. I knew that he did it to allow us to remain a secret, but it made me sad that the person who gave me happiness could compromise everything I'd built here, everything I'd worked so hard towards in an instant. Nevertheless, we were here, together, among his friends, and a bunch of sweaty strangers, days away from his soon departure.

"You look fucking phenomenal." He whispers to me as we join four people, two of which I recognise to be Carla and Reid.

I hadn't seen her in a while, but I'd seen far too much of Reid for a lifetime.

"Miri-fucking-yam!" Reid called out with his hands in the air.

I felt the red flood my cheeks as they all turned their eyes towards me. I was never any good with attention, even in just a small group of 8. No one at school ever really paid attention during school to when I'd ever talk, so this but since being around Levai, it felt like exposure therapy for crying out loud.

Samael sank into the leather couch that they'd all been sat on, while everyone exchanged greetings with one another. Carla in particular looked me up and down, "not bad."

"When you put in a lot of effort." She grins against the bottle in her hand.

I felt my anger rise but I did my best not to show an expression. The giggly mood I was in was starting to dissipate along with the alcohol in my bloodstream, and I was entirely too sober for my liking. I headed towards the bar, shouting for a glass of something before returning back to them.
