•CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT•

Start from the beginning

"You can sit down," he says pulling the chair out for me.

"Thank you," I said flashing him a smile before taking the seat.

"You are welcome," he says taking a seat across from me.

"Can I get you two started with some drinks?" The waiter says.

"Of course, Monique what do you want?" He asks turning to me.

"Oh, water is okay thank you," I said to the waiter.

"I'll have a scotch please."

"Right away," the waiter says before excusing himself.

"So tell me about yourself," Tre'von says turning to me.

"Well, mmm, I'm 25, I am a pediatrician and I'm single...of course."

"Yeah, it's crazy to think a beautiful lady like yourself is single," he says with a smirk.

I let out a small laugh. "Yeah well, I am a pediatrician, my schedule is unpredictable, they call, I come and most men cannot deal with that."

"Really, do you like your job?"

"I love my job, I love working with children."

"Okay."

"Look, I don't want to lead you on, I am not looking for a relationship right now, at all, and, and I was only set up on this blind date by my nosy best friend who thinks I need a man," I cleared the air.

He let out a chuckle. "That's okay."

"Thank you," I said thanking the waiter who placed our drinks on the table.

"Can I get your starters?"

"I will have...the creamy chicken vol-au-vent," I said looking up from the menu.

"I will have the Artichoke-Parmesan Crostini," Tre'von says before the waiter leaves.

"So tell me about yourself," I said taking a sip of my water.

"Well, I'm thirty years old, and I am a gym owner."

"Really, I've always wanted to get a gym membership, but because of my job..."

"Yeah I get you, maybe you should get a personal trainer who can deal with your busy schedule."

"Yeah, maybe I should "

"I'm also a personal trainer you know," he says with a smirk, resting his elbow on the table, leaning in.

"Really," I said mirroring his action.

"Yeah, maybe I can be your personal trainer"

"Yeah, maybe. What makes you think your the best candidate for the job?" I asked tilting my head slightly to the side.

"I will be at your service any time, and I am a very patient men, and, I have a home gym at my place for late night session."

"Late night sessions?" I asked biting my bottom lip

"I meant fitness sessions Miss Morelli, not what you are were you thinking off."

"Oh yeah, and how do you know what I was thinking off?" I counted

"You got me there," he says with a big smile. Before I could reply, my ringtone sounded.

"Shit, I forgot to put that on vibrate," I said giving Tre'von an apologetic look.

"It's okay," he says as I searched for my phone.

Luca.

Luca is fucking calling me right now.
