"I wanted to make it right but it was too late." Jennie ended her story.

They fell into silence. To think about Jisoo, who is now probably laughing while watching TV downstairs. To think how much they have hurt her. To think how clueless she is for the reason why they didn't talk to her for a year. A whole year to live with the unknown guilt...

Jennie felt a pinch of pain in her chest. Jisoo was being brave to own her mistake and to beg for Jennie's forgiveness. She still remembered how her innocent face struck by deep pain when she said they were never friends. Jennie suddenly felt her chest stuffy, guilt took over her body. She would do anything to take it back. Anything. But it's too late.

"So how did she react when she found out you hired her as your driver?" Rosé tried to break the silence.

"We.. we act like nothing happened." Jennie said, "Well, I act like nothing happened. She.. she acts like a polite, appropriate driver."

Jennie felt a lump in her throat, "She has been nothing but kind to me. She laughs at my jokes. She puts up with my demands.." she couldn't continue, she felt her throat was tightening.

They sat in silence.

"Jennie.." Rosé said softly, "You need to make up your mind. What do you want to do to Jisoo?"

Jennie listened to the weight of Rosé's question. What am I gonna do to you, Jisoo?

"You can leave things as it is, you both can act as if nothing happened. But if you plan to get closer to her," Rosé stopped, "you have to take her feelings into consideration. She might not someone who can communicate her feelings well, but that doesn't mean she feels nothing."

Jennie thought for a moment, she then said, "I don't know, Rosie.. I can still feel the pain from what she said that night. But..." she didn't continue.

"But you're still desperate to get close to her? Craving for her attention? Even after everything? Even after all this time?" Rosé exposed her.

Jennie suddenly remember how she took the front passenger seat earlier today, she blushed. She rolled her eyes and tried to avoid Rosé's eyes.

Rosé looked at her best friend's stubborn face. Rosé didn't know if the love she had for Jisoo had never died after all this time, or it was just rekindled because of this second chance. Does Jennie even know she was in love with Jisoo? But listening to Jennie right now, Rosé was convinced that Jennie needed to learn a thing or two about love. She needs to know herself better and to know what she wants. Rosé was afraid of this immature love. It might hurt Jisoo. It might hurt Jennie too. So she stayed silent about it.

"Jennie can I give you an advice?" Rosé said.

"Yes, Rosie?"

"Take it slow. Last time it took you both only two weeks, and look how it ended. I don't care if you just want to pursue the friendship or something more than that. Maybe you both need to take it slow. And.. let her set the pace." since you look so ready to devour her at any times , but Rosé didn't say that.

"Uh?"

"You've always set the pace Jennie. In all your previous relationships. But as Ellie Goulding said, she lets the other person to set the pace, because she isn't thinking straight. Wise woman there."

"Rosie! Did you just quote your advice from a song??" Her cheeks turned red, she knew what Rosé meant.

"Girl, you're so obvious. Damn it Jennie Kim. Since when you're becoming like this? You're like a kitty to her."

"As I said, I don't know what you're talking about. Leave me alone." she felt so embarrassed. Ugh, can Rosie stop teasing me??
