During their flight, Jisoo was exceptionally quiet. While Jennie was busy talking about all the plans for Tokyo trip, Jisoo was lost in her thoughts.

"... to Chiba on the last day. Or do you prefer on the third day?"

Jennie found Jisoo stealing glances at Miss Choi.

"Jisoo? I bring her so we can have a relaxed trip."

Jisoo frowned at Jennie, "You don't understand."

"What is it, babe?"

Jennie looked at her worriedly, she was pretty sure Jisoo was just being dramatic, but she wanted Jisoo to enjoy this trip. Whatever worries her girlfriend was having, she was determined to sort it out right away.

"She takes care of the bookings, the activities, everything, right?"

"Right."

"Basically she knows everything and will be everywhere with us, right?"

"Pretty much, yes."

"She would report to your parents that your new girlfriend is leeching off you."

"You're not leeching off me!"

"But I am, Jennie! You know well I can't afford this trip. And I am not judged by my sets of value, I'm judged by my deeds."

Jennie stayed quiet, letting her girlfriend vent out her frustrations.

"She'll tell your dad that the girlfriend is taking advantage of the heir," Jisoo looked away.

Jisoo was a perfect girlfriend; she was full of affection and extremely patient towards Jennie. Jennie couldn't ask for someone better to fall in love with. Despite that, Jennie had seen a pattern. She noticed that Jisoo was always careful not to let Jennie spend excessive money on her; and Jisoo would always try to pay for everything. She wouldn't say anything, though. This is a concern that Jisoo had never brought up. The only time she admitted that it bothered her was when she was sleep-talking.

However, Jennie took it in stride, knowing that both of them were still growing in this relationship. Jisoo herself had made efforts to be more vulnerable around Jennie, and she was grateful for it. So she decided to respect Jisoo's pride and adjust herself on the girl's hidden discomfort by controlling her spending, ever though she wanted to indulge Jisoo with everything she could think of.

It was the utmost fragility that Jisoo was still shielding from Jennie, and Jennie knew she had to handle it with delicacy.

"Baby..." Jennie's voice came soft and calm, "Do you want to talk about it?"

"There is nothing to talk about," Jisoo said stubbornly, but then she continued, "This is why I refused to go on this trip, I should've stood firm on what I believe, I've been doing it right but now I prove that I'm not a person I thought I was... And now your parents will be informed. It's an endgame for me even before it's started. I even haven't introduce myself properly. You know what? I won't be able to marry you. They won't let me."

Jisoo kept on babbling about how this one trip would ruin their entire future plan, and Jennie wanted to giggle at how seriously Jisoo took everything-- from bringing the blanket, suspecting Miss Choi and this whole marriage thing.

"Jisoo... baby...baby stop. We're only 19! It's not that serious."

"I'm 20, older and wiser than you."

Jennie couldn't hold back, she burst into laughter and Jisoo looked really offended.

"Older and wiser???" Jennie was wheezing.

"Excuse me, younger lady. You listen to me right now."

"You think I didn't know that you joined this trip because you wanted to see me in my bikini?" Jennie cupped the girl's face, "See? Baby we're only so young, stop acting all serious. Sometimes it's just about boobies and nothing about money."

"Of... of course it's not all about boobies... I'm... um, I'm wiser than wanting boobies!"

"Aww..." Jennie planted a kiss on her blushing cheek, "That's okay, baby, we're young and shallow. If it's anyone's fault, it's not even yours. I planned this trip and I insisted to go to Japan. You couldn't resist me and that's that."

Jisoo nodded hesitantly, a mark of doubt was still in her eyes.

Jisoo is not a gold digger...

Jennie recalled what Jisoo had said during her sleep-talk. She reminded herself to approach it in a most delicate manner.

"Jisoo, nothing about this would make me doubt your sincerity towards me."

Leaning in, Jennie rested her head on Jisoo's shoulder, "We've spent enough time as friends to get to know each other, and we're only getting closer in this relationship. So this I can say..."

She took Jisoo's hand and intertwined her fingers with hers, "...that Jennie knows Jisoo is genuine, and Jisoo knows the same about Jennie."

Jisoo looked into Jennie's eyes and her clouded mind was suddenly cleared, realizing that her fear wasn't real. Her connection with Jennie was real, the trust they built was real and she was grateful for that.

"You're an angel," Jisoo said adoringly to her sweetheart, "I will one day take you to a trip. To anywhere you want to go."

"I'd go anywhere with you."

"My angel..."

"Chu, can you promise me one thing?"

"Anything, Jen."

"Enjoy this trip? Please trust me on this?"

Jisoo took another glance at Miss Choi, her heart softened and she nodded, bringing their entwined hands to her lips and placing a gentle kiss on the girl's hand.
