The leaves scrunch under her bare feet as she walks forward. She had no idea about where she was. She could tell that it was night time, by how the owl hooted in the distance and the cool air whipped around and nipped occasionally at her skin, causing shivers to run down her form.

The scent of death lingered around in the air, along with the hint of something that had been recently burned. She could see the aftermaths of it too. The ground beneath her was burned, the grass was dark as coal and charred.

She felt weird, something wasn't right. It took her a few minutes to realize what, which caused her eyes to widen like saucers. She could see. She could see everything clearly. Furthermore, she couldn't understand why she didn't pick upon it earlier.

She looked around, it felt odd, taking in the colors, but it was a totally gloomy atmosphere around her.

A scream from inside the house had caught her attention, before she could stop and think she felt herself moving forward, and into the house.

She didn't have any trouble following the screams, it was like a second nature to her. Well it was since it was her own pack house. The one she had lived for nineteen years.

The scream felt oddly familiar to her. It wasn't until she entered a room, she had realized why. The door was open a slit, and she could see the familiar figure screaming while there was a wolf on top of her. A Rogue.

"Mom" Jade screams before running to help her.

As she reached her mom's crouched frame, she tried prying off the rogue from on top of her, but what happened next baffled her. Her hand went right through their body, the rogue didn't even feel her touch. Nothing.

She watched helplessly as they both fought on the ground. It was as if she was invisible, or more like they were. Upon further inspection, she had managed to catch their figure, which appeared to be slightly transparent.

A hand on her shoulder startled her out of her train of deep thought, turning around she came face to face with a beautiful woman.

She looked ethereal and absolutely gorgeous. Her long black hair reached her waist in a beautiful pattern, while her green emerald eyes twinkled like bright stars in the sky. She was wearing a white silk dress that reached the floor, it fit her frame quite well. She looked a little pale, but it added to her beauty.

"Who are you?" Jade stumbles back in shock.

This only caused the woman to smile at her. For some unknown reason, Jade didn't feel threatened to this woman's presence, in fact her wolf was calm. Really calm.

"Well, people call me different things but the most know one would be Selene" the woman replies with the smile still etched on her face.

"Wha- you're Selena...as in the Moon Goddess?" Jade's eyes widen with shock as she stares at this beauty with parted lips.

The woman just nods her head.

"Is this a joke?" Jade asks, she turns towards where she had seen her mother and the rogue only to see that the space was empty, no one was there.

She turns towards the Moon Goddess.

"Where did they go..." after thinking a moment, she asks Selene, "Did you do that?" .

"You mean your mother and that rogue? Yes I did. It was the only thing I could think of at the moment to catch your attention. It was an illusion".

"I figured" Jade replies.

Selene smiles at the young girl in fornt of her, she was smart. This girl, Jade, was meant for great things. People might call her species an abomination, but she was far from one.

In fact one day, the time would come when she would be the one to rescue all of those people who misunderstood her abilities and called her names.

"Why am I here?" Jade asks Selene, while looking around the room. A thin layer of dust coated the room, like no one had ever been here for a while. She had caught onto the fact that it was after the rogues attack. This whole mansion was abandoned.

"I needed to talk to you about something, because I know you would have questions when certain things happen in the future" Selene stops for a second, watching Jade closely before speaking again "also about your mate...".

This seems to catch Jade's attention, with furrowed brows she asks "what about him?".

Selene sighs, "I know you are wondering why I paired you up with someone Adryan. He is hardheaded and stubborn." Moon Goddess rolls her eyes.

"But, there are something's that are beyond our reach. It needed to be done, your Mating plays a great role to overthrow the prophecy" Selene was tormented, she couldn't tell Jade about the prophecy now. It wasn't the right time. There were a few more years before things starts playing as stated in the prophecy.

"I...don't you know that he keeps pushing me away? That he keeps hurting me again and again."

"I know, I know. " Selene replies, then mutters something under her breath along the lines of 'stupid man'.

"Just have faith no matter what happens. Besides, the baby is getting stronger day by day." The moon goddess looks at Jade's stomach, which now had a visible bump. A smile graces her face while hearing the child's heartbeats.

"The child is going to be special, one of its kind. You and Adryan need to keep him/her safe".

Jade just stares at her wordlessly.

"Also one more thing" Selena says.

"What-?" Jade's voice gets stuck in her throat when she feels hands being placed on her eyes.

"It's time Jade. You're maturing into something meant for great things. You must embrace your powers. Making you blind was the only way to obscure your powers for so long" the sweet voice of Selene sounded distant.

Jade felt like she was on the edge of something, she could feel the hard, uneven ground under her bare feet.

Suddenly she felt someone pushing her. A scream rips out of her parted lips.

Jade sits upright on the bed with a jolt. 'Was that a dream?', she thought to herself. Her breathing was uneven. She felt herself tremble. Why was Selene speaking in riddles. What prophecy was she talking about?.

She placed a hand on her bump, she could feel the baby moving around, it was growing fast with time, she looked seven months pregnant now. Even though it's been just three months. With in the next two months, she will be holding a baby in her hands.

Suddenly the door to her room is thrown open, a woman with auburn hair enters her room with a baseball bat clutched between her fingers. Her blue eyes widely looking for an intruder.

"Who is there and why did you scream and is the baby okay?" Scarlett asks multiple questions in one go. Scarlett had woken up to Jade's loud scream, making her panic thinking that something had happened to her.

"Scarlett?!" Jade says with wide eyes. It was back. Her eyesight was back. She stared wide eyed at the woman in front of her.

So this was what Selene was talking about.

"I can finally see everything" she whispers.
