Blood Runs Deep

My blood runs as deep as the River streams
It pumps through my veins and fuels my brain

That is until I take advantage

The number on the scales go up and down
Only consuming liquids for days letting my stomach drown

A thick red liquid seeps through my skin
The silver blades the executive to my sin

My chest caves
My body drops
My skin goes numb
Cue the tears, pause the breathing
Let my eyes roll back and leave my body bleeding

My blood runs deep. Deep through my veins. Deep through my brain. Deep through my thoughts and deep through my feelings.

Deep enough to end it all.

A heartbeat once there, once filled deep with blood

Now emptied, replaced by the deep void that I once felt
