Chapter 25: Déjà Vu

"Oh. My. God!" Stefania said in a loud voice that made Barrett and Jaina rushed toward her.

Barrett's eyes widened as if questioning Danielle. Jaina held onto the curly-haired woman's hand supporting herself as she was shocked of her friend's action. "Aren't you supposed to say something to her now?" Jaina said. Stefania looked at her then back to Danielle.

Danielle closed the box then stood up reaching for Stefania's hands. "It's not what it looks like," the blonde tried explaining then looked at her friends just beside her girlfriend. "I'm not proposing. Not yet. The ring fell so I reached for it under the bed then you, my love, walked in," she continued.

Danielle walked toward a small vanity cabinet and got a white gold chain then put the ring in it as she walked back closer to Stefania. The blonde put the necklace on the Italian and said, "keep it. I'm not asking you yet but I want you to wear it. When the right time comes I hope you'll let me put it on your finger."

Jaina wiped a tear and so as Barrett. "Aww you guys! Can we eat now?" Barrett said breaking the moment which made Danielle roll her eyes.

Stefania still hasn't said anything and it made Danielle worry, "baby, are you okay?"

"Hmm yeah. I just thought you were gonna propose," the Italian said. "What were you gonna say?" Jaina asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"I was gonna say-" Danielle didn't hear Stefania's answer as she covered her ears and chanted random words so that she wouldn't hear anything.

As soon as the blonde stopped she asked her friends, "what did she say?"

Barrett and Jaina rolled their eyes then laughed. "You covered your ears and now you're asking? We're not telling you," Barrett teased.

"The ring is beautiful. I love it and I love you," Stefania said then kissed the blonde. Danielle smiled and felt like she knew what would be Stefania's answer.

It was Monday morning and Stefania and Danielle were excited to go back shooting. They had a productive vacation since they were able to get Stefania's stuff and talked to an agent for the leasing of the Italian's house.

"I missed you!!!" Jay exclaimed when she saw the two walked on set with coffees in their hands.

"We missed you too!" Stefania said as she hugged Jay using her free hand.

"So, are you gonna do it?" Jay asked but Stefania glared at him.

Danielle was a bit occupied scrolling through some fan edits. "Sorry, what was that?" the blonde asked.

"We have to go to hair and make up," the Italian said then the three started walking.

Danielle was doing a scene with Barrett and Grey so Stefania was able to talk to Jay alone in his trailer.

"You'll come with me, right? I'm really nervous," Stefania said to Jay.

"Is Danielle gonna be okay?" Jay asked.

"Yeah. We talked about this before. Not sure about me leaving the show though."

"Are you sure? I mean you should share the moment with her."

"No. It's fine. We agreed that I can do whatever I want," Stefania explained that it won't be an issue for her girlfriend.

Danielle was driving them home with her hand on Stefania's thigh the whole time. The Italian held it then laced their fingers together making the blonde smile.

"It was fun on set today," Danielle said, looking on the road. "Yeah, it is... hey, I'm going out with Jay tomorrow."

"Where are you going?"

"Hmm, girl bonding," Stefania said jokingly then laughed. "Okay... Can I have lunch with Michelle?"

The Italian let go of Danielle's hand immediately making the blonde laugh at her jealous girlfriend. "Whatever, Danielle."

"Babe, it's just lunch. She's still my friend and I have to shoot a scene after anyway," the blonde explained.

"Fine."

"Okay. I love you," Danielle said as she glanced to Stefania.

"I love you too." Stefania smiled.

Danielle got out of the shower and saw Stefania was already tucked in bed with her eyes closed making her pout. "No lovey tonight?" She almost whispered but the Italian didn't answer as she was already asleep.

"Shower with me?" Danielle invited but Stefania shook her head.

"It's been two weeks and you're not letting me touch you. Is there a problem?" Danielle asked Stefania.

"I'm just sore and feeling bloated lately, baby."

Danielle touched her girlfriend's forehead to check if she was sick. She couldn't help but notice some changes with the Italian but she didn't know what exactly.

"You're fine. Just drink lots of water," Danielle said then kissed Stefania on the forehead.

The blonde got a new toothpaste from their stock of toiletries and noticed that the tampons and pads were still not open. "Baby, you haven't had your period yet?" Danielle asked.

"Not yet," Stefania answered as she flipped the page of the book she was reading.

Danielle was certain that the Italian normally had her period before her. She went to the bathroom then threw the box of the newly opened toothpaste when something caught her eye. There's a pregnancy test in the trash bin and it was positive. There's a weird feeling in her stomach that she already felt years ago when she found out that her ex was cheating on her and got pregnant.

She shook her head and gave Stefania the benefit of the doubt. "Baby, did you have a visitor while I was gone?"

"No, babe," the Italian said then remembered she forgot to take out the garbage.

Stefania stood up quickly making her feel dizzy then almost fell but Danielle caught her on time. "You're pregnant?" Danielle mumbled, her tears welling up.

The Italian looked at her with wide eyes and couldn't find the right words. "Why?!" Danielle bursts in tears. "Why do you have to do what my ex did to me? You could've just left me!"

"No, Danielle. Let me explain."

"I'm leaving. I'm leaving you." Danielle grabbed her phone and wallet then walked as fast as she could.

Stefania froze in fear so she had no choice.

"It's yours!" the brunette shouted before Danielle could open the door.

"Stefania, I don't- what did you say?"

"It's your baby. Our baby. I did the procedure."
