CHAPTER 21

Early morning... I cooked some eggs and canned ham with garlic fried rice for us as usual while my auntie sat on a dining chair sipping her coffee while writing on her book.

"hows your project nak?" She asked "oh its fine po, malapit na din po matapos (its almost done) then we can submit it by friday" I replied while putting the cooked canned ham on a plate.

"How's your friend at your room?" She added and I turn around glancing at my auntie while i crack some egg and put it on the pan "she-shes not awake yet.." And my finger accidently brush the hot pan "oww!" I exclaimed and put my finger inside my mouth to soothe the pain

"what happen?!" auntie came immediately to me "I touched the pan hehehe" i chuckled, she gently hit my shoulder "youre so clumsy bailey tsk, put some toothpaste on it. Sit there, ako na dyan (ill take over)" And I obliged 

"are you two friends now?" She asked "i-i dont know..." I shrug staring at my red finger and put one drop toothpaste on it. She hummed sharply in respond "be careful of her" she added "why?" I asked in curious and she just look me in the eye, suddenly we heard a door closed from upstairs and i grab the plate with food to the table

"Good morning ms..." Maddison glanced shyly at my auntie "you can call me eliz for short sweetie" my auntie replied smiling "have a sit and eat, Bailey cooked it. Do you also eat rice?" she added and I give my auntie a weird look

"yes mam" maddison replied smiling. We ate our breakfast while my auntie interogate her some questions "my mom told us, I believe you guys have met? Adelaide Anderson" she said 

"oh atty. anderson right! yeah her client was my patient and i believe your mom won the case right?" She said "yes she did" maddison smile weakly.

"oh i have to go, you girls better not be late for your school okay?" She said "yep, bye auntie!" She gave me a kissed on the cheek "take care girls!" She added and head out to the door.

Maddison started to clean the table "i can take care of it, it's alright" I said and pick up the plates on the table "oh okay, uhm... Can I use your bathroom?" She asked "yeah sure, you can lend some of my clothes.. If you want" i added.

"no its fine im not going to school today" she said, i frowned "oookay, your going home then?" I asked gently and she just shook her head in response and walk towards the sink to wash her hands "dont worry about me, ill go somewhere..." She glance at me then run upstairs to my room. I shrug

Few moments later, instead using my bike as usual maddison gave me a ride to school and drove off. "Was that maddisons car?" Emily asked approaching and i nodded "how was the sleepover with her?" She added "its fine" i said sadly.

"they always like that, you know" she said "who?" I asked "her parents" she replied while we stop on my locker "bailey" jake standing behind us "hey" he smiled

"Coach told me to remind you about the practice later" He said and i nodded in response he then turn his back "you look great by the way" he added and gave me a small smile

"he's such a sweet guy, why didnt you give him a chance" suddenly grace snapped at us and tom gave her a gentle nudge on her shoulder "because she have to, remember?" tom said shaking his head "okay im sorry, its just... you know..." Grace argued pouting

After class with ms. hale, samantha walk to our table and clears her throat "Bailey... " with Jenny and Audrey "what is it sam?" Holly snap at her but sam just roll her eyes at holly

"we saw you got out with maddisons car earlier... She doesn't reply to any of our messages. Do you know why she didn't attend school, because as you know we have practice too later on" she said hastily
