Compromise

Catra approaches the MoonStone and sits in a meditative pose before closing her eyes and concentrates on the MoonStone, like many times before she feels her conciousness being pulled from her body. Catra feels herself floating in an endless sea of darknes until she feels herself fall. Catra panic's for a moment before remember this is how it always feels, its then that she lands softly on a Pandora Etheria's Closets moon.

Catra opens her eyes to see Luna her glass humanoid figure that seems to have captured the stars in front of her. Luna raises her hand and in moments notice a glass table with two chairs construct along with bird cage like cover around them. Catra walks calmly and sits down in front of Luna.

"I'm not here to listen to excuses tell me everything you had in mind or negotiations are off." Catra says

"If only you could have been content as Glimmer or Micah." Luna says letting out a sigh.

Catra let's out a low growl.

"Now that heart has been deactivated, the magic that has been sealed is now in abundance. Our creators wanted the heart as a weapon but now we want to use it to spread magic throughout the universe. I planned to use the princess or Queen from what you call them. Fortunately you expanded on your own so I didn't have to contact you. With the Queens spread out I used the Hearts magical network that binds all runestone's together and pushed a constant flow of magic from Etheria to the locations of the Queens. By doing so the Queens leaked out all the excess Magic to their surroundings causing the planets to absorb the magic and hopefully one day manifest it's own magical core. I planned to repeat this process until the Queens expired." Luna says calmly.

"I don't mind Magic being spread but to use us like tools is something I will not accept." Catra says

"Why not? I do not see the problem, it would takes many years before Queens would expire. Considering the emotions my siblings are feelings it seems that the Queens are considering having children. Which would not only pass our connection to their children but also possible create new Runestones in the process or perhaps even strengthen them. Throughout this process magic would spread and your Queens could use magic without being on Etheria with ease. By all logic this is a favorable trade." Luna explains coldy.

"Your completely right it's an amazing trade. But your looking at this logically, if you had even thought about hos attached I am to them emotionally you would have realized that I would stop you at any cost. So are we going to come to a compromise? Or shall we just start fighting." Catra says with crimson lighting crackling around her.

"If you have a good enough alternative I am ready to hear it." Luna says

"If you had even discussed this with me or even Athena then you would have known that on all the Queens flag ships Entrapta had constructed Magical Pylons that absorbed the magic of Etheria and then were installed on ships so the Queens were not powerless. My comprise is that we combine my pylons and your network so we can create a system that can safely transfer magical energy without harming the Queens. When Entrapta wakes everything will begin to move and pylons will be built on every controlled planet and all Flag ships. This would help our up coming mages on the battle field while you can still send magic to the Queens but not in excess. This way magic can still be spread to the universe without harming the Queens. What do you say?" Catra says

Luna thinks for a moment.

"You plan to expand your empire more I assume." Luna says

" Yes. But I plan to focus on the Etherian Empires interal problems and creating a stronger military. That doesn't mean I will not conquer worlds. While the Queens are dealing with internal problems, I will have Alpha launch campaigns against a number of worlds that have little to no military might. This will help spread magic and pylons will be built on each new world we welcome into the Empire. During this time Ehteria and the worlds closet's to it will be known as the core and development will be focused there. Peace will only be known there even in times of war. Then the inner rim is a place that will be semi peaceful. It will be a place where all species are welcomed and are encouraged to interact and increase friendly relations. The ever expanding outer colonies will be mostly militarized zones that will work on stabilizing recently conquered planets. After ten years that's when the entire empire will shift into war mind set." Catra says

"I accept these terms but what do you mean by war mind set?" Luna says

"By this time I will have the military strength needed to finally launch a campaign against the planet that killed Adora. Any planet or nation that stands in the way will be conquered. I very much doubt the other powers of the universe will just let me have my way so at that time the greatest war to ever be waged will happen." Catra says

"Then I look forward to the day you begin your conquest." Luna says

Catra closes her eyes and she feels herself being pulled back into her body. Catra opens her eyes to see the star night sky she feels the cool breeze hit skin and fur.

"Alpha how long was I gone for?" Catra says curiously

"Four hours." Alpha says

"Ugh I felt longer. I guess it's time to-" Catra attempts to stand but stops as she feels a weight on her lap.

Catra looks down to see a curled up merry sleeping soundly.

"When did she get here?" Catra says running her hands through Merry's soft fur.

Catra let's a soft smile appear on her face while she moves her hand touching the horns protruding from her head.

"Alpha I've said before that I can't ever love again but I don't think I'll be able to keep that promise. Slowly day by day she's been etching herself into my heart." Catra says

Catra slowly and gently moves Merry's head from her lap and onto Catra's arm as both lay down beneath the moon stone.

"I don't think that's a thing." Alpha says before disappearing.

Catra laying on her side stares at the resting merry. Catra gently places her forehead against her.

"Ah. So this is what's its like having a daughter." Catra says before letting sleep take her.
