"If she does what I anticipate, I'll be able to easily get her out," He replied loading up the Glocks on his table before fastening them to his tactical vest under his suit. So Xavier's plan to get Sky out unscathed all depends on if that dumbass does what she's supposed to. Great plan.
"And if she doesn't?" I asked quietly. So many possibilities were running through my mind at how tonight would turn out for Xavier and for Skyler. Some including an early grave. But Xavier? He had a one-track mind.
He clicked the safety on another gun before putting it back on the table. He turned his body slightly so he was facing me again, "I'm hoping she does," He told me stoically. Skyler is so unpredictable, I don't understand how in the hell Xavier is so sure she'd do what he's intending her to do.
I thought about it for a moment. I've known Xavier for practically all my life. My family name served the Dante family for generations, and Xavier and I went to school together. He was my best friend. If there's anything I knew about him, it's that he's a tactical genius. He worked purely on strategies and coordinated plans. I've seen him come back in a chess game that I thought he'd never win.
The entirety of his moves depends on the moves of his opponent.
He was the perfect leader and assassin.
But Skyler?
Her moves depend on if she'd hungry or not.
"I trust you," I told him, looking directly at his eyes. They widened a small fraction before he gave me a short nod. I trusted Xavier with my life, if he says we're gonna do something, I don't doubt him for a moment.
But Xavier devising plans supported by whether or not Skyler Brooklynn makes a move or not definitely had me doubting my boss for a moment. In what possible outcome will Skyler do exactly as Xavier plans for her to do.
"Alright team, we have one shot at this, and one shot only." He turned around to the small team of highly trained assassins he had under his command, "Argent is not a man to be taken likely, any well-devised plan we could come up with, he would've already figured out,"
"So what do you propose we do?" Jason piped in, strapping the velcro on his gloves, "Walk right in?" He suggested humorously.
Xavier smirked, "That's exactly what we do,"
The color drained from Jason's face as we all mirrored the same look of absolute shock. This is insane. It was a suicide mission! There is no way we'd be able to walk in and be able to execute the rest of the plan without eating a couple of bullets.
"You're joking,"
He shook his head with a devilish chuckle, "Unfortunately, no,"

Skyler's POV (present time)
I sat on the chair that Argent had commanded I stay rooted to. My entire face burning up and moments away from exploding into an animated blush with steam pouring out of my ears.
I held Xavier fricken Dante's hand!
I fell asleep on Xavier fricken Dante!
How am I still alive after that stupid little stunt oh my goodness! I frantically glanced around the room at the two guards standing at the door and quickly patted my cheeks trying to calm my blush. They both gazed at each other quizzically and I smacked myself hard across the face.
"Now is not the time for a Niagara Falls Skyler!" I hissed at myself, using my other hand to rub my cheek where I had slapped myself. If this were any other situation I would've fangirled over Xavier's soft hands for days, but in the given moment, I was angrier than in bliss.
