A Winter Love Story- Book One in the Ellie & Josh Series

Ellie

We get to our house, and I am still crying Becca is trying to soothe me. 

"Look it's okay, Josh is coming home, and he is bringing food. Its..." she looks at her phone

"What is it?" I ask seeing anger on my best friend's face.

"She did not." Becca gasps 

"Becca, what is it?" I ask again, getting agitated. 

"I think it's best you don't know," Becca responds.

"Becca. Please. I want to know." I beg her.

"Fine. Here. Please don't get mad at me." she hands me her phone. She is on Instagram, she is on Hellen's account. I see a photo of Hellen, and she is wearing a wedding dress... and holding a sign that says ¨I found my dress¨ and then the name of the dress shop underneath. The name of the shop is the one I was at earlier. The backstabbing bitch stole my appointment time. 

"What the heck?" I ask. 

"I-I don't know. I think that's just the way, Hellen is."  Becca says shocked

"It's not right. Wait.. what if she bought it on my credit card? I mean I had to give it to them. Oh god did she use my card?" I am freaking out

"It's fine Ellie, I don't think she would use your card. She's not that bad. Well maybe. I hope." Becca says. I'm not sad anymore I'm angry. I hand Becca back her phone. Both of us sit in shock, and our disbelief is broken when Becca's phone chimes. She glances down and nods. She looks up.

"Josh is on his way, he stopped at the store to get some stuff to cheer you up." Becca reads

"Hey, Becca? How are you gonna tell Matt that y'all are having baby number two?" I ask trying to get away from weddings, and myself in general. 

"Um, no clue. Do you have any ideas? I want to do it soon. I'm around three months. Shit sorry, I know you don't want to talk about weddings, but when are you thinking about having your wedding? Like if I'm three months" Becca counts on her fingers, "I'm due in August. I don't want to be a big pregnant bellied Marton of honor." Becca says worried

"Well I really love a dusty rose, and that is a fall wedding. So I think fall would be cool." I state, trying to get away from weddings. 

"Becca. I just had an amazing idea. We could make a really idiotic funny video and send it to Matt and Jenn, and Luke" Jenn and Luke are her twin siblings. They just turned twenty. 

"Yess! That would be amazing! Let's do it!" Becca grabs her phone and goes to her camera app.  

"Maaaaaatttttttt! What's up, dude? So big big news immmmmm going to work tomorrow. And yeah and um the twins." Becca blabs on for a bit and I cut in

"Yo Matt! Are you ready for a change of liffeeee? Guse what I got a riddle for you!"

"No, I got one for YOU" Becca yells. 

"Noooooooo I doooooooooo" I wine back, we start to kitty fight, and we make eye contact, Becca nods, and we start saying the words one by one

"Gusse," I say loudly with a laugh 

"What" Becca shrieks 

"I'm" I yell as I point to myself, trying not to laugh

"Pregnant" Becca yells

"JK" I yell

"I am!" Becca finishes throwing her arms in the air

"Leggit Matt I am. Chelsea is gonna be a big sister! Bye from me and the baby!" Becca ends the video and we send it to Matt. We look at each other and burst out laughing, we are laughing so much that tears are running down our faces. Becca keeps trying to tell me something but keeps laughing. She finally composes herself. 

"Do you think Matt is gonna watch the whole video?" Becca asks worriedly

"It's gonna be fine" I reassure her.  

We watch some random YouTube videos for like an hour, and we are having a ball. About thirty minutes later Josh walking into our room and finds us laughing. 

"I thought you were sad... or was mad. I don't know" Josh says very confused. Busted.
