LISA

Irene brought me to the airport.
She gave me a lot of reminders about Paris.
She also called someone to pick me up and she said I already have an apartment there.

But our main problem is, we both don't know where exactly Jennie lives. We decided not to tell her that I am coming for she might worry especially now that her Clem is having a serious sickness and she herself is pregnant. For sure, if she'll know that I am coming, it will give her stress. I think, it would be better if we'll just meet in person so I can comfort her right away.

Come what may!

I arrived at night time, passed by the Eiffel Tower.
I imagine things like proposing to Jennie right exactly in front of the tower.

The one who picked me up is also a Korean who is now living here with his French wife.
He's names Bobby. He gave me his number and told me to contact him if I need anything.

I reached this beautiful apartment.
It's nice and has a vibe that matches my house in Seoul.

I placed my stuff inside and now I don't know what to do.
I took my laptop and checked my emails.
I have to make sure I still work.
It's daytime in Korea at the moment and my employees are surely working too.

They made sure to set up a screen in our department so I can talk to them regularly.
I did a one-hour meeting with my artists and I felt so hungry.

I searched for the nearest restaurant on Google and walked going there.

I love the vibe here. I feel like I'm meeting Hemingway or Fitzgerald or if I'm lucky, I'll bump to Dali. Just dreaming I'm going to meet my favorite writers and artist who are dead.

It's so hard ordering my food as I cannot speak French.
I just point my orders and luckily the waiter is kind and very understanding.

After I ate, I took a walk. It's raining lightly. I reached a pile of vintage shops and my heart is really joyful.
I just dreamt of this when I was young.
To walk in the streets of Paris while it's raining and hard books from vintage shops.

I did it!

I went back to my place carrying four books.
Thanks to Google map! Though it took me an hour to find my apartment back.

So, how do I start searching for Jennie? I know I can just call her right away through messenger. But I don't know how she will react upon knowing that I am here.

I will let her breathe first. Give her a little time to process everything that happened to Clem.

I arranged my things and put my clothes on the cabinet when I came back to my place.

I made a checklist of the things I'll buy tomorrow.
Groceries. Cooking pan. Beers. Chips. Chocolates.

The next day, I went to the grocery store and shopped for everything I need.
It's so hard because most of the products are in French. So, I chose those with English translation.

I took a cab after I bought everything.
Went back to my house and arranged all the goods. This is not a new routine for me anymore but you know the feeling of being in a country and doing this?

In the afternoon, I strolled around the pile of vintage stores again.
I saw an old typewriter and the lady said it's working.
