The blonde one speaks first.

Blonde: Yeah. Glad you showed up. But, who are yo-

The smaller one cuts her off:

Redhead: That. Was. So. Cool! It was just like the stories!

You sigh in relief.

(F/N): What the hell are you doing up here?! There's tons of Grimm here! Are you trying to get killed?

Blonde: We we're going to visit our mother's grave. We... didn't know.

You stop yelling, and force yourself to calm down. You forgot that they're just kids.

(F/N): Tell me your names.

Blonde: Name's Yang. My sister is Ruby.

(F/N): Well, let's go then. I'll make sure nothing else touches you while you visit her.

Ruby: Come on, I've been learning to fight at signal academy!

Ruby does some obviously fake karate moves for show.

You chuckle (in your head) at her adorable attempt at intimidation.

Yang: Against a Beowulf, that wouldn't work at all.

Ruby starts to pout.

Ruby: Let's just go see mom.

She starts to walk away, so you and yang follow her.

5 minutes later

The two sisters sit in front of the grave, silently.

"Summer Rose"
"Thus kindly I scatter"

You think to yourself, about the pain they're going through.

This scene reminds you of a memory you wish you could forget.

Flashback

You're walking home from school. In the same dark alleyway you always use.

But you hear an animal whining in a dumpster, so you take a look inside.

You see the most adorable golden retriever puppy laying down.

It's obviously a newborn. It hasn't opened its eyes yet.

Someone must have tossed it out.

You know you don't have the heart to leave it and let it die.

You gently scoop the pup into your arms and cradle it as you continue home.

Flashback end

You cared for that puppy for a while, but your father didn't take kindly to it.

"Don't waste your time with helpless creatures." He said as he killed it.

What an asshole.

You scan the forest, guarding the sisters as they mourn.
