"Gandalf!" Frodo's cry woke you up, he sat next to you in the bed breathing heavily.
"Nightmare?" you asked gently, still groggy with sleep.
"Sorry, y/n, I didn't mean to wake you." Frodo held his head in his hands.
"No, it's okay. Please tell me," you soothed. Every since Frodo came back from Mordor he had been haunted by vicious nightmares. Constantly, he woke up screamig from remembering his hard journey.
"I was just remembering Gandalf fall again, I knew deep down that he would come back, but later in the dream he didn't."
"But you know now that he is alive."
"I know," Frodo sighed. You sat up and gave him a kiss, Frodo was pale and gaunt from lack of rest, sometimes the nightmares got so back he would go days without sleep.
"You need to at least try to rest, the journey is over now, don't let nightmares haunt you."You snuggle closer to Frodo's chest as he lays back down. "I love you Frodo."
"I love you too." You waited until Frodo's breathing deepened and slowed, then settled to go back to sleep.
