"Move in with me," Tony said.

Pepper glanced up, surprised. She had been sitting at the kitchen island by herself, drinking her coffee as she went through her emails as per her usual morning routine when, suddenly, the billionaire had walked up to her and without a hi, hello, or even a decent good morning, that was the first thing he said.

"Excuse me?" she said.

Tony took a seat across from her at the island.

"I need you, to move back here again, in the Tower. With me," he said. Pepper put down her coffee.

"You know, Tony, people usually say good morning at this hour," she said, smiling slightly. Tony looked at her, feeling his lips curl into a half-smile.

"Good morning Pepper, move in with me," he said.

"No," she smiled, standing up.

"You can't say no to a Stark," he argued, "It hurts our egos." Pepper bit back another smile.

"I'm saying no to this one," she said, grabbing a thermos from the cabinet to take her coffee on the go. She was already running late for work.

"Fine. But you have a date with me at Le Bernardin for eight pm tonight," he stood up, getting ready to leave before she could object, "Wear something revealing."

The billionaire left the room before she could say anything in reply.

Pepper sighed and then smiled to herself, biting her lip to keep it from taking over her entire face.

"You ready, kiddo?" Happy asked.

Adelaide took a deep breath, looking outside the car window. There it stood. Midtown High. It was a sunny morning so the building shone nicely under the sun's rays. It felt like it had been months since she had been here last, even though it had only been about a couple weeks.

Tony had been reluctant to send her back to school so soon, but the doctor had given her a green light and Adelaide was getting sick of staying in the Tower all day long. After convincing the billionaire that she wouldn't end up in the hospital again and that she would be safe at school, they came to the decision that she needed to head back to school and start recreating that normalcy in her life once again.

A lot had changed since she the last time she was here. She had died, for one. She had moved back into the Tower. Things had changed between her and Peter.

Peter.

She hadn't spoke to him since last night after she had poured her heart out to him. She couldn't find the guts to talk to him. And she wasn't sure if she was ready to face him again today after everything.
