IMPORTANT READ THIS ABOUT STORY

So this is an AU where Lena is a touch older then Kara she is 15 and in college because you know she is a freaking genius. She is also working part time as a science intern for Luthor Corp.

Kara is 13 and just landed on earth. She doesn't speak english and is quite confused by the different world while she grieves her family and planet.

One night Kara flies away from the loud noises coming from her sister when she gets mad and yells at a confused Kara.

When there late night meetings end what's the reason?

14 years later they meet again

(Kara and Lena won't know each other as friends in this story as in Kara doesn't know lena as Kara danvers only in her supergirl/alien personality not her secret identity

3rd person POV

Lena steps out onto her balcony of the apartment her parents bought her while she is in college.

She glances behind her at the mess of technology spread out on her kitchen table.

Taking a deep breath and a sip from the mug full of tea in her hands.

BOOM!

CRASH Lena is sent flying backwards landing hard on her back.

It takes the raven haired women to get her bearings.

She sits up and sees her windowed shattered.

She hears lots of words being rambled in a language she totally didn't understand.

The blonde girl was pacing around clearly frustrated.

Confusion takes over Lena completely as her eyes widen at the shorter girl.

She quickly stands, almost falling to the ground when her ribs hurt. She definitely has a bruised or fractured some of her ribs from the impact.

Lena moves as quickly as she could over to her work desk and grabs the two sets of ear plugs.

Grabbing one set and putting them into her ears as she turns them on.

It takes them a few seconds to power on but once they are on the blonde starts making sense.

"Stupid Alex and her damn loud voice she doesn't even make any-" I stop listening and walk up to her.

The blue eyed blonde pauses looking a little shocked that Lena was near her.

Lena turns on the translator and holds it up the technology to the blonde and motion to her ears.

Lena's POV

The blonde hesitantly sets them in her ears as she says "I am sorry who are you? Where am I? What are these?"

I sigh in relief seeing as the girl has calmed down a bit.

I give her a warm smile as I say "My name is Lena. You are-"

Her eyes widen and she cuts me off as she says "You speak my language????"

I giggle lightly from the shock written on her face as I say "Unfortunately I don't. And you don't seem to speak my language either. That handy technology in your ear is a universal translator. So it translates the words I am speaking so you can understand them and what you are saying so I can understand them."

She smiles brightly and says "Wow you must be really smart. You would fit in well in the science guilds back home..." her energy fades off and she seems sad towards the end of her sentence.
