Two turned three.

It was a hard case for the two. JJ had been sick for the majority of the case trudging through an endless amount of files and talking to the press. A child was killed. The two had been trying for a child for over a month. They kept their desires to expand their family to themselves. The donor they found was the spitting image of Emily. JJ would choke back tears when her eyes would fall upon the face of the deceased child. Emily comforted her when she could. Emily had a way of turning JJ to mush with the simple hand on her back. Through all the death Emily was JJs anchor and JJ was Emilys. They kept each other grounded. That only intensified when  they got married two years ago.

After what felt like years the two had arrived back to their quant Colonial-style home right outside of the city not far from Quantico. The two stumbled in exhausted from the case. 

"How about I take the bags up while you order us some food?" JJ said 

Emily kissed her forehead and said "That sounds wonderful." 

Emily placed the order and was surprised to see that her wife had not yet returned. She made her way quietly up the stairs down the creme carpet hallway to their bedroom. JJ was sitting on the bed cross legged looking down at the phone that was being held loosely in her hand. Emily gently sat down in front of JJ crossing her own legs waiting for her wife to speak. JJ had tears in her eyes as she cupped her wife's face. She ran her finger over the smooth skin of Emily cheek bone 

"Baby I'm pregnant." 

A smile instantly spread across Emily's face. 

"Jennifer that amazing." 

She looked down at JJ's stomach 

"lay down" Emily said softly.

JJ slowly let her back fall back onto their bed uncrossing her legs. She looked at Emily as Emily's eyes remained trained on her wife's abdomen. Emily slowly raised JJ's shirt revealing a well toned stomach. She leaned down and let her fingers ghost the skin below JJ's belly button. She leaned down further kissing the warm skin. She pulled back tears in her eyes she went up and kissed JJ keeping her hand gingerly on her wife's stomach 

 "thank you"  

"We are going to be Mommies!"

"Honey you should know by now I will always be Mama."

JJ kissed her wife saying "Of course Mama."
