It's been a year now since Beomgyu started courting Ryujin. She succesfully adjusted to Beomgyu's presence and they became even close. Jeongin was back at Jeju so Beomgyu lives alone now. It's the year 2026 and the two were almost done with their work at the convenience store. Skip forward and it's time to go home, but Beomgyu has other plans.
"Ryu wait!" -Beomgyu
"Hmm? What is it??" -Ryujin
"I know that it's been a year since I started courting you again and you were also quite strict on yourself so..." -Beomgyu
"So?" -Ryujin
"Ryu, if it's alright with you, wanna go out on a date with me now? I-I think it's time..." -Beomgyu
Ryujin was hesitating on what will she say. Is she ready to date Beomgyu? Does she have feelings for him again?? Should she accept him in her life again as more than a friend???
"It's ok if you're still not ready-" -Beomgyu
"I'd love to. So where do you wanna go?" -Ryujin
"Let's eat first." *smiling* -Beomgyu
The two went to a restaurant to eat lunch. They ordered samgyupsal and the waiter gave them their food so they started grilling the pork. They were just munching and talking and enjoying their lunch, just like the old days back when they started dating when they became adults. After that, they went to the mall to have fun.
"What do you wanna do?" -Beomgyu
"Oh Oh Oh! Arcade!!" -Ryujin
They went to the arcade and bought some tokens. They started playing different games that they could find inside. They played basketball to which, obviously, Beomgyu won. Next, they played air hockey. Surprisingly, Ryujin won this time. They were having fun for more than an hour but Ryujin requested Beomgyu to go somewhere else. The boy suggested to play one last game which is... The claw machine.
"Gyu, let's go to a different place." -Ryujin
"How 'bout one last game?" -Beomgyu
"What game?" -Ryujin
"I'll get you a teddy bear from that claw machine." -Beomgyu
"Are you even good at it?" -Ryujin
"Good? No... I'm an expert." *wink* -Beomgyu
"Pft! Prove it." -Ryujin
"What?? Have you forgotten the time when I got you the keychain?? It was from a small claw machine." -Beomgyu
"Oh you did? I thought you bought it..." -Ryujin
"Actually, I never told you about that." *chuckle* -Beomgyu
Beomgyu put a token on the machine and started moving the claw. Ryujin was expecting him to fail and try again two more times, then he'll finally get the stuff toy. Just like some typical stories out there. Well she's wrong. Just one try and Beomgyu already got the bear. He gave it to her with a smile while her mouth was wide open. Beomgyu giggled at her expression and closed her mouth with his hand.
"Y-you..." -Ryujin
"What did I tell you? I'm an expert." -Beomgyu
"Thank you." -Ryujin
"You're welcome." -Beomgyu
The day ended with so much fun that filled the atmosphere. They took a bus on their way home and before Ryujin went inside, Beomgyu gave her something.
"Hey Ryu, I have a gift for you. I actually bought this a year ago." -Beomgyu
"Why're you so advance on somethings? First the surprise back at the tent. And now a gift you bought since last year??" -Ryujin
"It's who I am." -Beomgyu
Beomgyu took the necklace out in his pocket and showed the design to her. The girl immediately understood what it means and its relation to what Beomgyu said to her back at Jeju when they met again.

"Remember my promise?" -Beomgyu
"Yeah, and you kept it." -Ryujin
"It doesn't stop here." -Beomgyu
"What do you mean?" -Ryujin
"You'll find out in the future." -Beomgyu
Beomgyu helped Ryujin wear the necklace around her neck. She had thoughts that Beomgyu gave a lot of gifts to her but never did she do the same. She wants to repay him from all the kindness, gifts and the fact that he was patient in waiting for her to be more comfortable around him. She wants to pay him back.
"Thank you. Here, keep the teddy bear." -Ryujin
"But it's yours." -Beomgyu
"You keep that and I'll keep the necklace." -Ryujin
"Sounds fair. Also, you do know that we're now a couple right?" -Beomgyu
"O-oh... Is that so? I didn't realize that..." -Ryujin
*Nod* -Beomgyu
'Was I straightforward?' -Beomgyu
"Well I guess we got back together hehe..." -Ryujin
Ryujin still couldn't process things out but she'll try to adjust. Not because she's forced to but because she wants to. After some small talk, Beomgyu waited for Ryujin to go inside before going back at his house. The day ended full of love circling around them.
