🌈Chapter 15: Promotion

~Ryujin's P.O.V~

~Flashback~

"Ryujin, have you heard any news from Beomgyu?" -Chaeryeong

"N-no I haven't."

"It's been months, almost a year to be exact. What happened to that guy? Was your break-up that hurtful??" -Chaeryeong

"I-I guess so..."

It's been almost a year after the accident. I already remembered some people but I haven't told my friends about the accident. Only Soobin oppa and Taehyun knows this but they're in America right now. What I didn't understand was... From all people, why can't I remember my boyfriend? Since Beomgyu never showed up this long, I lied to them that we broke up. Even though I really don't know what happened to our relationship. I'm here at Seoul back at my work now.

"Ryujin." -Yeji

"Oh Yeji unnie, is there something you wanna tell me?"

"Yup! JYP wants to meet us." -Yeji

"Ohh ok."

Me and Yeji unnie went to JYP's office. We knocked on the door and heard someone told us to come in so we did. We sat on the two chairs looking nervous infront of the CEO. Well it could be either good news like a promotion or bad news like getting fired.

"Are you Ms. Hwang and Ms. Shin?" -JYP

"Yes." -Yeji

"Y-yes."

"I wanna talk to Ms. Hwang first. Yeji, I'm happy with your work and I would like to promote you to a new position as the boss in your department." -JYP

"Tysm sir! I appreciate it a lot!" -Yeji

"Great! You may start tomorrow. As for you Ms. Shin..." -JYP

"Y-yes?"

"I'm also very happy with your performance. I would like you to be part of Yeji's department. If you prove to me that you can be better than now, I might assign you as boss on another department just like Yeji here." -JYP

"I would be willing to do it sir!"

"That's the spirit! You may go back now." -JYP

We went out of JYP's office with a wide smile plastered on our face. We were also squealing that others find it weird and annoying but we didn't care. Our CEO noticed our hard work and I'm really happy for my future!

"So how did it go?" -Chaeryeong

"Starting tomorrow, I will be with you in your department with Yeji unnie as our boss!"

*Sqeualing*"That's great news! Congrats for being our new boss Yeji unnie!" -Chaeryeong

"Thanks Chae!" -Yeji

We all went back to work. As I was typing something on my computer, I noticed my favorite keychain beside it. I really wonder what happened to Beomgyu. Did he find someone else? No time to think of that. I can almost reach my 'Number One Ultimate Dream Job' and there's nothing that can distract me!

*Mutter*"I can't contact Beomgyu..." -Chaeryeong

'Or maybe there is...'

"Why're you so into Beomgyu? You like him??"

"Yah! He's your boyfriend!!" -Chaeryeong

"Correction, EX-boyfriend."

"Still..." -Chaeryeong

"Girls, I wanna remind you that there will be a new employee on our department so pls treat whoever that person is nicely." -Yeji

"Yes boss!"

*Chuckle* -Yeji

'Hmm... I wonder who that person is...'

"Thinking about Beomgyu?" -Chaeryeong

"Yah!"

"What?? You're holding the keychain he gave you." -Chaeryeong

"C-cuz... It's my favorite."

"Yeah ok sure..." -Chaeryeong

'Aish! *Eye-rolling* But seriously, I wonder who that new employee is...'

For months, my mind got frustrated for thinking what could possibly happen to Beomgyu. But now, I got distracted with the news of a new employee that'll be joining us starting tomorrow. Though I don't have feelings for Beomgyu anymore, this was the only time when I didn't think about him.
