Carlos was right, there was a war coming, a big one, everywhere I looked there were men fighting, running and training, it was a madhouse, but at least I was glad Carlos was finally letting me do something I have been wanting to learn for a long time,

I took a deep breath, unlocking the safety catch. I could do it, if everyone here could, I could too. I closed my eyes, clearing my thoughts, and then opening them again.

I tried to focus on the red points that were placed on the dummy 70 meters away from me, "You can do it..." Tommy whispered behind me,

I'm also glad Carlos isn't here because it's very difficult to hold still and remain calculated when his breathing on my neck the entire time.

"Hold it still.." I nodded as Tommy adjusted my hand, "Now shoot..." And, again, I didn't even hit the red point or even the dummy, if Carlos was here he would have a blast. "This doesn't seem to be one of your strengths." he chuckled, causing me to get even more nervous. "Okay, let's try this again..." he stood behind me and using one hand, he held to my waist, while the other supported firmly to the gun in my hand, "Now shoot..." he whispered.

I did and gasped as it hit the dummy.

"Not perfect but okay..." He chuckled, causing me to beam, when suddenly someone cleared their throat having us parting and turning to see Carlos standing there with a scowl on his face, how long has he been standing there was my first thought.

Carlos signaled Tommy leave, and Tommy smiled at me before walking away,

"He was just helping me." I waved in, so he won't misinterpret the situation, I don't even know why I am explaining myself, he doesn't even care about me that way anymore.

I gulped abruptly and turned around to continue with what I was doing, even though I was obviously failing at it, I don't know how I ever thought learning to shoot would be easy, silly me, I thought it would be like they do it in the movies.

I positioned myself to shoot and with my peripheral vision, I noticed Carlos stepping towards, he moved until he was standing behind me, watching if I could do it this time.

I didn't even hit the red point, on the second try I missed the dummy. I felt so stupid as Carlos kept on observing my every move, he must think I'm dumb.

"You're shaking..." he whispered, making me even more nervous, I couldn't even pull the trigger this time.

Suddenly, Carlos snatched the gun and placed it away, before turning me around to him, "What's the problem? I thought this was what you wanted."

"I can't do it..." I cut in.

"Why?"

"I don't know... I guess I thought it would be easier,I didn't know."

"Breathe..." he urged me.

I gathered myself together and with eyes closed I took a deep breath, letting out the air slowly, I remained like that for a few seconds, the whole time I could feel Carlos's gaze on my face, waiting for me to calm down, and when I finally did, I opened my eyes again and caught sight of his fiery eyes, causing my lungs to tighten.

"Do you feel better?" he whispered softly,

I gulped tightly and nodded, I watched breathlessly as his eyes studied mine with silent intensity before I regained my senses, "I should get back then-" I turned to grab the gun when arms clasped my waist and lips captured mine suddenly.

I grinned, the moment I had dreamed of for so long

I grinned, the moment I had dreamed of for so long. He tightened his hand on my waist and drew me even closer, deepening the kiss. As we parted I saw his eyes sparkle and lips curve up into a smile and I couldn't help but smile back with hope, my cheeks blushing hotly. I hesitantly looked up at him, muttering. "Can I take it that you forgive me?"

Silence

His fingers reach and gently run up and down my cheeks, coaxing shivers out of me, he leans again and I shut my eyes in anticipation.

"Try again.." It took a second before I realized he went practice, I opened my eyes to see him holding the gun for me, "Aim higher this time, the red point preferably..."

"Right..." I muttered disappointedly and took the gun from him, "Thanks.." I said and returned to continue trying.
