Chapter 8: Day 1 At Magcon

When I wake up I see I'm alone in the hotel room. There's a note attached to the back of the door. I get up and read it.

*Note Reads*

In Matts room preparing for Magcon. Magcon starts at 11:30am. We thought we'd let you sleep in. See you there or in Matts room. :) Love Shawn, Cam and the guys xx

I finish reading the note and look at the clock. It's 10:45. I get dressed into; a long blue t-shirt, a pair of denim shorts, a grey jacket, with my black vans. I decide to leave my hair down and only put on some eyeliner and mascara. I then grab my phone, purse, room key and head to Matts room. I knock, 'come in,' they yell. I walk in and Shawn yells 'boo!' I scream and they all burst out in laughter. Bart runs in looking alarmed. 'Whats wrong,' he asks, 'I heard a scream.' I explain that they gave me a fright and everything's fine. 'Okay. Well we're leaving in 15 minutes so get ready,' Bart says. He walks out and I glare at the boys. I walk over and sit down on Matts bed. 'That was not funny,' I say. 'Well...' Matt says, 'it actually was.' 'You should have seen your face,' Aaron says laughing. They all nod they're heads in agreement.

*15 Minutes Later*

We drive to Magcon in a limo that Bart booked. I sit between Matt and Taylor. I plug in my headphones and turn on my music. The song I'm listening to is Shawns song "The Weight." I don't realise I'm singing along until I look up and see all the boys looking at me. I turn off my music and ask, 'what?' 'Your really good,' Jack G says. I blush. 'That was my song,' Shawn says. I nod my head. 'It was indeed,' I say laughing, 'it's a pretty good song, but I think I could write a better one.' 'Oh,' all the boys say. 'I'd love to see that,' Shawn says teasingly. We arrive at Magcon and walk backstage. Mahogany Lox starts calling out the boys names and they run on stage. The crowd cheers heaps. Shawn and Cam look at me then Cam says, 'when she calls our names we won't go on and when she calls your name Shawn and I will carry you on.' 'Okay,' I say cheerfully. She calls the boys' names and the crowd cheers but when they don't run on the crowd stops cheering. Mahogany calls my name and I feel Cam and Shawn lift me up. They run on with me in they're arms. The crowd cheers loudly and I can't stop smiling. I wave and they cheer louder. Then the boys put me down and we sit. 'First question,' Nash says. He points to a girl in a cute red dress. 'My question is for Scarlet,' she says, 'who do you like most out of Magcon?' I look at the boys and finally say, 'I like all the boys equally at the current point in time.' I swear the boys look disappointed with my answer. After the crowd stops asking questions we go and do the Meet and Greet. I meet heaps of fans and they're all amazing.

We then head back to the hotel. There's an awkward silence in the limo. This time I'm sitting by a window so I put in my headphones and rest my head on the windowsill.

Matts POV:

As soon as Scarlet puts in her headphones we all start talking. 'Who do you reckon she likes,' Aaron asks? 'She said she likes all of us equally,' I say. 'Well she was obviously lying,' Cam says. 'Are you sure,' Shawn says, 'she might not even like any of us.' We all think about it. Finally Taylor says, 'well maybe she actually likes more than one of us.' 'That could be right,' Nash says. 'I think she likes Cam, Nash, Shawn and Carter most,' Jack J says. 'And why do you think that,' I ask? 'Its the way she acts around them,' Jack G says.

We arrive at the hotel and Scarlet pulls out her headphones then hops out the limo first. She runs inside to the lift and goes up to her room. As we all get up to our floor I stop and say, 'do you guys hear that?' Surely enough Scarlets in her room crying. Shawn goes to unlock the room door but Nash stops him. 'Just leave her,' he says.

Scarlets POV:

I hear the boys outside of the room. Someone slips the key into the lock. 'Just leave her,' I hear Nash say. The key is then pulled out of the lock and the boys walk off. I don't even care if they hear me crying. They know why. When I put my headphones in I didn't put the music on very loud so I could hear they're conversation. I now know that they all like me a little bit. This makes everything so much worst.

*10 Minutes Later*

I stop crying and get off my bed. I turn on my laptop and start up the recording software. I plug my headphones into my laptop and start singing. After about 30 minutes of doing covers I save them and turn off my laptop. I then put my hair up into a ponytail, borrow Cams longboard, write a note saying I've gone out, and head out the door.

Shawns POV:

I hear one of the other rooms door close. I get up and walk to ours. I unlock the door and see a note on Scarlets bed. I grab it and walk back into Nash's room. 'Scarlet left a note for us,' I say.

*Note Reads*

Guys. I've gone out for a longboard. I've borrows Cams one because I don't have one of my own yet. I just needed to clear my head. I'm sorry about earlier for what I said. I know that I'm stupid and I've upset you all. Maybe I shouldn't have come because I'm hurting all your feelings. I don't know what to do. Love Scarlet xx

I finish reading and all the guys are silent. 'Well now she knows,' I say. 'So what do we do,' Cam asks. 'I guess we just take it easy and not make her upset,' Matt says. 'Should we just not talk about it anymore around her,' Taylor asks? 'Good idea,' I say, 'but how'd she know that we all like her?' 'Maybe she didn't turn her music up loudly,' Nash says. It's the most logical idea so we guess that's what happened. 'We can't make it awkward around her though,' I say, 'or she'll shut us out.' 'How do you know that,' Carter asks? 'It's a long story,' I say laughing. 'Tell us,' Nash demands. 'Well it started when she had a crush on the most popular boy at our primary school,' I start, 'and that's all I'm gonna tell you.' 'Sad guy,' Carter says.
