Garlic Bread (Shanks x Reader)

Inspired by what I just spent an hour and a half-ish doing

          "...(Y\N)? Honey? Love of my life, and reason I breathe?"

         "Yes?"

         "Why are you on the floor?" You turn and look at your lover of nine years with a look of indifference.

         "Thinking." Shanks is silent for a moment before he takes in the area surrounding you.

         "And the garlic bread...?" Ah yes, the dozens of loaves surrounding you in plastic bags on the floor.

         "Hungry." Shanks kneels down slowly and looks you over.

         "So you've been on the floor eating garlic bread?"

         "Yes."

         "Just how many loaves did you eat?"

         "Five." Shanks blinks runs his hand through his hair.

         "(Y\N), you know I love you... Right?"

         "Uh-huh."

         "So when I say this, please know it's filled with the utmost care and adoration... What the absolute hell?" You watch his face for a moment before picking up one of the sealed plastic bags.

         "Don't knock it til you try it."

         "...I'm not sinking to your level," Shanks huffs, but you can't take him seriously as he slowly lays on the kitchen floor and takes the garlic bread bag from you.

         "Love you."

         "Love you too."
