*Juliet's pov*
***December***
"Okay class, for today's project is anything that reminds you of December."
"Will we be doing this for every single month?" Nash yelled.
"Yes Nash!" Mrs. Smith yelled.
Everyone laughed.
Why do I still put up with these people?
"Okay, so anything that reminds you of December. Jacob!" Mrs Smith yelled.
Jacob jumped, almost falling out of his seat, and looked at the teacher.
I wasn't holding my laughter in, but Jacob shot me a look.
"What reminds you of December, Jacob?" She asked.
"Um...Christmas..?"
"Brianna! What reminds you of December?"
"Snow."
"Sean, what about you?"
"No school." He smirked.
"Cameron, you?"
"Sleeping in." He said.
"Class, you have to think outside of the box! Something original! Juliet!"
I snapped my head out of my thoughts.
"Um....sweatpants?" I said.
Everyone started laughing.
"Better! But be more creative." She said.
The bell rang.
"Work on those projects! Winner gets no homework and it's due on Friday." Mrs. Smith said.
Nash, Cam, and I were walking to lunch.
"So, what are you going to do for the monthly project?" Nash asked.
"Honestly, I don't know." I laughed.
"I don't know either." Nash said.
"I have something but I am NOT going to tell you." Cam said.
Nash and I looked at each other and groaned.
We walked into the cafeteria.
It was silent. Dead silent.
We sat in our usual table.
"Why is it so quiet?" I whispered to Matt, who was sitting at the table with Taylor and Carter.
"New Vice Principal. Threatening to take away our trip at the end of January if we talk." Matt whispered back.
"Do I hear talking?" The new vice principal yelled.
We shut up quickly.
I looked at Taylor, I knew he couldn't take the silence.
"Are you okay?" I mouthed to him.
He nodded, and took a bite out of his sandwich.
We ate our lunch in silence until I saw Taylor throw his sandwich down on the table.
"Fuck it." He said normally.
He got up on the seat and stood on the table.
"FOOD FIGHT!" He yelled.
All hell broke loose.
Cheese burgers and fries flew across my face.
"Taylor what the hell!" I screamed.
"Sorry!" He said, not really meaning it, but laughing.
He threw a drink across the room, but some of it landed on me.
"Tay-"
A full salad hit me in the back.
I turned around and Matt was smiling.
"Matt!" I screamed as I grabbed my peanut butter sandwich and threw it at him.
He gasped and grabbed his juice and poured it on me.
Someone blew a whistle, and the vice principal was on top of a table, screaming at people.
I don't think I heard half of what he was saying, I think there was salad dressing in my hair.
And croutons in my ears.
"Taylor Caniff! You're coming with me." The vice principal said as he grabbed Taylor's arm and dragged him out. The bell rang.
"Come on, let's go freshen up." Matt said as he grabbed my hand.
"Why did you even throw a salad at me?" I laughed.
"I got caught up in the moment." He laughed as we went to the janitor's closet.
He grabbed a towel and put it in the sink.
He rubbed it on my face.
"Matt, I think I can wipe my own face." I laughed.
He took some croutons out of my ears.
"Sorry." He laughed as he grabbed a towel and cleaned himself.
My clothes were ruined.
"I better go to language." I rolled my eyes as I walked away.
"Juliet! Your clothes." He sighed.
"I'll be fine." I laughed.
"No here!" He took off his sweatshirt and I put it on.
"Thanks." I smiled as I walked into language.
All eyes were on me.
Including Hayes's.
"Juliet Collins you're late." The Mrs. Clark said.
"I'm sorry, I was getting the food off my face from that food fight at lunch." I said.
"There was a food fight at lunch?" Mrs. Clark said.
"Yup." I said.
"Sit down." She said and pointed to my seat.
I sat next to Hayes.
He leaned over and whispered in my ear.
"You had me worried." He said.
"I was only cleaning off." I whispered.
"You're wearing somebody else's sweatshirt." He said through his teeth.
"It's only Matt's." I said.
"Whatever." He sighed.
I rolled my eyes.
"Let's talk about this after school." I said.
****after school****
I grabbed Hayes's arm and dragged him out to the front of the school.
"Why are you so worked up over me wearing somebody else's sweatshirt?" I said.
"You're my girlfriend! Not Matt's!" Hayes said.
"You have nothing to be jealous about! Matt's like my brother!" I said.
"How can I not be jealous! You're you! You're the best girlfriend I've ever had! You're mine not-"
I smashed my lips on his, and he kissed me back.
"You shouldn't be afraid of loosing me." I said as we let go. I rested my forehead on his.
"It's my worst nightmare." He confessed.
I kissed his cheek.
"I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."
