𝗚𝗢𝗧𝟳 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝟭

The young man, sat, back against the wall as he flung the baseball that was firmly grasped in his hand, to the wall opposite, watching with a blank, numb look in his dark brown eyes as it soared in a high arc before hitting the wall and rebounding back to him. Almost instinctively, he caught the ball again as it came inches from hitting him. He had perfected the art by now, after having thrown it a couple of hundred times, so many he had lost count.

It was a numbing thing to do, throwing the same ball and catching it over and over again, it suppressed all his rage that was churning inside him, like a beast waiting to be unleashed.

The sharp smell of paint, and turpentine accompanied with musty scent of canvas surrounded him like a faint mist, he was used to it, having spent so many hours inside here with (Y/N), constantly painting her or sketching her in some way. He had loved her so much. Once. But now, staring at the pictures all he felt stir inside him was a sense of loathing and hatred.

His eyes were glued on a particular picture. It was one where they had spent the evening together in this very same room as they watched the sunset. He was idly sketching her and was awestruck by how beautiful she had looked standing near the window, allowing the golden rays of the sunset to illuminate her slim figure. It was one of the few memories that Jinyoung never wanted to forget but now, he would have traded anything to purge it from his mind, scrub it cleaning, pour bleach over it, get amnesia, if that's what it took.

Just thinking about her, brought around another round of hatred that threatened to choke him. Furious at his gullibility and at the same time the small part of him was still nursing a broken heart, he ripped the precious canvas to shreds, and there they stayed dangling limply, the once beautiful artwork that used to be everything to him, now all that was left was he rips and tears that seemed to match the ones in his heart.
