Episode 96: Righteous (Raynor)

Cracks spread throughout the hill which my house was built on top. They ran all the way down into the orchard and continued on who knew how far. Perhaps even touching the city.

Either way, I needed to do something quick, or others would get hurt.

Ragna grinned as he noticed me glancing back. "Your self-righteousness isn't a strength. It is a weakness."

He leapt back and sent a laser of darkness straight at the city. Buildings burst into flames prior to the thing even hitting them. That's how much energy his attack had. 

"Stop it!" I screamed. 

He pointed his sword at my neck. "Then break the seal on Olivia."

I raised my hands and formed a barrier of light around the hill so that no one could enter or leave. 

"I will do no such thing. But while I sealed her power, I am not the key of light which you are seeking."

"Then who is?"

Lunging toward him, I dived the tip of my spear into his chest.

"I won't say. That person must be protected."

Ragna coughed up black blood unto the floor as I took out the lance.

I spun my lance and turned around, 'staring' at the ruins of my home and of the city below. "Farewell, brother."
