I tossed his blanket back toward his bed and grinned at my younger brother's reaction. "I thought so. Out of all her potential suitors, I would prefer you over the others."

Elliot felt his face reddened. "I... don't like her."

"If you don't like her then why the reaction? Don't tell me that you like Alex?"

"No, of course not!"

I raised an eyebrow. His reaction was the same at the mention of both.

"Alright, then I guess that you wouldn't mind if I propose to her?"

His eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "You?"

He sat back down on his bed. 

A smug grin played against my lips. "Yeah. I like Olivia. You can have Alex, guys don't interest me."

He glared at me. "I don't like him, nor do I like her."

"Tsk. Denial, denial. Come on Zhuang, you're like an open book. Adela's the same, fawning over that boy from her childhood. Even if she claims that he's just a 'friend'. Who cares so much about some guy she met nine years ago?"

Elliot turned around. He stayed quiet the rest of the night, even though I knew he wasn't sleeping.
