I shook my head at her question.

"I don't recall. But Alex told me all about it," I responded. My older brother can teach us how to use them. Unlike my younger sister and me, he's doesn't allow his mind to be clouded by rage when he sees loved ones get hurt."

"He's rather calm," she said.

I snickered. "True. He always had been. If not for my aunt, uncle-in-law, and him then I'm not sure what would've become of my sister and me. We probably would've gone insane."

I stood up. "Well, I'm off to bed now."

Alex, Jason, and I walked out of the room.

"Jason," I said, tapping his shoulder once the door was closed. "Stay here and watch over her."

He nodded. "I was planning to do so. But, why ask me?"

"You're her best friend. Plus, you have light powers. Should Olivia's dream come true, you would be the one best suited out of us three to save her."

His blue eyes narrowed. "You sound as if you know the future."
