Ryan and the goth girl attacked the mages.

I stood back and watched as the two destroyed their enemies.

As they weakened them, I took the chance to act.

Dark tendrils spread from my arms.

The other dark mages shrieked.

Their prana flowed into my body.

"No fair!" the goth girl protested.

"Calm down, Thalia," Ryan said.

His silver eyes focused on my tendrils.

Ghostly tendrils of his own appeared.

"I'll help you finish this magic thief off."

Come on, we were all magic thieves.

That was the way that magic in our world worked.

It was way different than the way that it worked in the capital world.

Maybe one day I could visit the planet of Xeleria.

However, first came unsealing my true powers.

And not to mention getting my father to see again.

Thalia came up behind me and tried to ensnare me.

I dodge-rolled out of the path of her tendrils.

Meanwhile I used mine to attack the remaining dark mages on standby.

Thalia followed suit, taking them down until there were no more left.

I took the chance to look at how the boys were doing.

Alex and Elliot had decimated most of the other mages.

I couldn't help but grin.

Those two were real heroes.

"Now that we've cleared the trash, let's settle this," Thalia suggested.
