Episode 79: Thanks (Olivia)

I wake up and see Jason sleeping by the door.
He looked so innocent.
Squating, I poked his cheek.
"Wake up sleepyhead. The hall isn't a place to sleep."
He rubbed his eyes.
"Oh. You're awake. Slept well."
"Yeah. It must've been thanks to you."
He covered his face with his hand.
"Oh?"
I extended my hand outward.
With a smile, he took my hand.
"Let's go."
We walked downstairs to the lobby of the castle.
Elliot and Alex awaited us by the front door.
As did Thalia's dad.
"Thanks for housing us," I said.
He flashed me a grin reminiscent of my father's.
"You're welcome. Have a safe journey."
"Hope Thalia's fine."
"She should be. I know that she doesn't claim any of you as friends. But thanks for caring for her all this time."
I smiled back. "Friends is just a word. It' actions that matter."
I waved farewell and followed the boys into the snowy land outside.
