Mulder: Evil's Introduction
Evil. It lurks in the darkest recesses of one's mind and heart, but its birth is from elsewhere – from a time when it fell from the goodness that surrounded it. It was present even before the first breath from man was taken, and it knew when it laid eyes on him, it would tempt him and bring him to fall.
Evil searches and wanders, lurking with patience – like a spider unmoving in its web, waiting for man to wander into the trap that's been set. Once trapped, the poisonous venom is injected, spreading like wildfire and engulfing its host until it is consumed by the lust of man's own desires.
There remains only one hope against evil, but it will not be forced upon anyone. It offers itself in sacrifice. Only those willing to step into the life it holds will ever survive the terror - the terror that awaits us all.
