Loud noises in the living room woke me up. It was Shaniqua stumbling into the apartment in the middle of the night. Dying to know how her date went, I dragged myself out of bed and moseyed over to her.
Shaniqua saw me and immediately gave her assessment. "What a loser!"
Plopping myself on the couch, I started to pry, "Not a good date?"
"The foo didn't even have a car. He picked me up in an Uber."
I chuckled. "Did dinner go okay, at least? I'm sure you had a delicious gourmet meal at a fancy restaurant, no?"
"Viola, he took me to Burger King."
I laughed even harder. "So I take it he didn't get lucky tonight."
"Viola, I haven't been with a guy in a long ass time. He got lucky twice."
