Harry's POV.

"Are you going to say something?" Katie asked me calmly as we sat on the couch.

Running my fingers through my hair, I thought of where to start. Digging into my past was something I avoided at all costs. My childhood was shit, and I tried my best to forget it. Nobody needed to know about what my life was like, all that mattered was now. But if I was going to want to be with Katie, I was going have to fucking suck it up and spit it out.

"You don't have to do this if you don't want to," she said, rubbing my back. Her touch was gentle and comforting. "If it's too hard for you, I get it. Believe me, I get it."

I knew Katie understood what it was like to have to talk about uncomfortable times. She opened up and talked to me about losing her brother in the car accident. That was exactly why I had to get over it and talk to her about my past.

"I'm just figuring out where to start," I began with my hands in my hair. Taking a deep breath I said, "me and my father didn't have the best relationship when I was growing up. He worked in London everyday during the week. We lived in Plymouth which is a few hours from London so he didn't come home much. He'd come home on weekends if he wasn't working. When he did come home, we didn't necessarily get along."

Katie waited for a moment of silence before asking, "what do you mean?"

"He'd drink a lot when he was home and get in fights with me and my mum. He and I would end up actually fighting once he got too rough with my mum. He use to win the fights, but as I grew up I got better and stronger. Soon he'd just stop coming home."

"So he left you guys?"

"You didn't let me finish," I said too harshly.

"Sorry," she said timidly.

"It's fine," I sighed as I began rubbing her thigh. "One day my mum and I decided to take a trip up to London to see my father. He wasn't in his office and his secretary said he was taking a trip back go Plymouth. We drove back and when I got in the house I found my dad in my mum's bed fucking another girl."

"Harry," Katie quietly gasped. "I'm so sorry."

"I attacked him. I pulled him to the floor and just attacked him. I hurt him badly. He went to the hospital. I was just so pissed that he'd do that to my mum."

Katie did the last thing I expected her to do; she put her arms around me. "You're not mad?" I choked.

"Why would I be mad?" she asked, looking at me with caring eyes.

"Because I know how you are about people attacking other people." I ran my fingers through my hair. I wanted to find the right words to say that wouldn't piss her off. That was the last thing I needed was to say some shit that made her walk out again. "I don't want you to think that that is how I am all of the time. I hit him because he cheated on my mum, just like how I hit Collin for kissing you. I just don't want you to-."

I was cut off by her soft pink lips crashing into mine.

Katie's POV.

I couldn't stand to listen to Harry going on. He had said enough. I never would have thought that his relationship with his father was that awful. I expected him to say that they just didn't get along. He didn't have to continue, so instead of saying anything, I decided to kiss him.
