"All I really want to do is just spend the entire day with you," Harry said as we took a seat at the usual table in the same Starbucks that we became so accustomed to down the street from the dorms of Vanderbilt.

"You will be spending the whole day with me, you big dork," I giggled as I playfully shoved his arm. "We do work together, don't you remember?" I looked at him to see his mouth pulled into a smile, causing the dimples of either side of his cheeks to pop out.

"I remember," he jokingly groaned and rolled his beautiful emerald eyes. "But I'm putting my foot down, one of these days you and I are both taking a day off of work so we can have a proper day together. I'll let you show me all around Nashville and have the true country experience. I haven't lived here very long. The only places that I've been to is school and the radio station pretty much. I need you to take me out."

“You do know that even though we live in Nashville, everything isn’t all hoedowns and rodeos, we do actually have a life outside of the ‘country’ life,” I joked as I use two fingers to put imaginary quotes around ‘country’.

“Either way, you’re taking me out to tour the town. I want to see everything.”

“You’re not going to be embarrassing and take pictures of everything you see, are you?”

“Fuck yeah, I am. I have to get the full tourist experience. So will you take me one day? Please?” he asked giving me the cutest puppy dog eyes and making his bottom lip quiver a little bit.

"I'd love to," I cooed.

"Good. Because it's happening." Harry pulled up the sleeve of his gray sweater and checked his watch. "We better get to leaving, babe. I know how you don't want to be late to work."

The determination in his eyes made me smile. I could see that he wasn't going to let me say no. By just looking in his eyes I could tell that he would be dragging my ass away from work if I went on the day that he had planned us to be together. And I loved it. I never felt like someone truly wanted to be around me before he came along. The way that he always asked me to dinner, the way that he wanted to drive me places, the fact that he just wanted to be around me made me feel more important than I've felt in a long time. It was never like that with Jason.

Jason.

I really had to stop thinking about him.

He was finally out of my life. Just what I've wanted for so long.

With Harry speeding down the highway and cutting off nearly every car that got in our way, we made it to the radio station in no time. He swung into a parking spot and told me to wait where I was sat so he could open the door for me and help me out of the car. "M'lady," he said in an incredibly sexy, low voice as he did a sort of curtsy and stuck out his hand for me to grab. Helping me from his car was a gesture I was accustomed to, but now that he and I officially had the 'boyfriend-girlfriend' title, it was a gesture that I absolutely adored.

The walk from the parking lot to the building wasn’t particularly far, but with the breeze of fall in the air, it was a little chilly, making the walk feel like forever. I brought my hands up to my arms and began to rub them to try to stay warm in my t-shirt. "You cold, baby?" Harry asked, noticing my discomfort.

"Just a little," I mumbled.

"Well come here," he said as he wrapped one of his long arms around me and pulled me to his side. I wrapped my arm around his torso as he began to rub my arm for me. "That help at all?"

"Yes, a lot, actually. Thanks," I smiled up at him.

"Morning, Katie," I heard a female voice call from the front desk. I saw her stand up and recognized her blond hair cut right at her chin.

"Jen? Hey! I haven't seen you here for a while! How's your son? I heard he wasn't feeling well," I said in a bunch of different tones pertaining to whatever it was I was saying as I went up to hug her.
