The Stranger Outside

It was a normal day for you. Living in your small house living your life. You were an art teacher at the local Middle School and it was the weekend. The sky was covered with looming clouds and it was a light drizzle outside, just how you liked it. Not too hot, not too cold, but just right. You were in your comfy tank top, gray sweatpants, and a matching cardigan. What could you say? You liked looking nice even though no one is there to see you.

You had made yourself some tea and looked out your front window. You saw a few cars here and there. A group of teens laughing and most likely up to no good. But there was something you saw that made your skin crawl. There was a man dressed in black with a dog that looked nothing like what you had seen before. Maybe it was a distorted Great Dane or something. Yes, he was creepy and yes that "dog" looked nothing like any dog you or anyone else has seen. But he was staring at you. Just there, across the street staring at you. You didn't even know if the group of teens even saw the man. He looked, invisible. Like no one cared or noticed him. And it sent chills all over your body.

You closed the curtain trying to act calm but that man crept you out. For an art teacher to have some type of stalker the man had to have had some mental illness or something. Or was he just lost in space? But that animal next to him... Maybe this has something to do with the man with the wings.

You ended up forgetting about the man and the dog unless you looked at the window because you would see something move by it but always dismiss it as a bird or people walking by because you would hear them talking. You lounged around and watched movies all day and stayed in and did some planning for Monday.

You went to bed around 11:30 not even thinking about the man and his dog. You just did your nightly routine. Around 3 am- the hour which you were not fond of because your parents were very religious- you woke up to the sound of heavy breathing in your right ear. But not the type of a person who had just done a mile jog but the heavy breathing of a dog. Just then, something wet dropped on your face and you heard in your left ear.

"Hello Y/n."

~Winchester Pov~

Apparently, according to Cas, there is some girl who lives in Lansing, Michigan. He says that she can see things other people can't. His guess, a fallen angel or some gifted child like Sam was but that was years ago.

"I don't get it," Dean says. "If she is how are we going to tell her that some of the things that she is seeing are actually naked to the human eye but she can see with no problem." He sat down on the motel bed and took his shoes off.

"You just tell her. It's not that big of an issue." Cas said trying to reason with them.

"Dude you can't just walk in and say stuff like that! These are humans not just robots." Sam said with his duffel opened up in front of him.

Cas was getting fairly angry. "This girl can be dangerous. If we don't stop her now then we are going to have some serious issues."

"How do you even know about her?" Dean asked scowling.

"On angel radio, an angel reported that this girl can see angel wings and when she saw the wings she flipped out," Cas said.

"Are you joking?!" Sam said surprised. "No gifted child could do that. At least that I know of." He looked to Dean and then to Cas. "And all those children died except for me."

"So that is out of the question." Dean got up and walked over to the duffel to get his laptop. "What if it is something else? Like, remember with Anna? She was a fallen angel and she didn't know it until she started hearing Angel Radio and they were talking about the apocalypse."

"That is also another option," Cas said and sat down on the couch of the motel and rested his head on his hands. "But what if it is something that we haven't seen before?"

"Dude, we've seen everything. I don't think that this is some type of mutant ninja turtle." Sam said sarcastically.

"What if she is a mutant ninja turtle!" Dean replied with more sarcasm.

Cas scowled at the brothers. They weren't taking this situation seriously. She doesn't know what she is and she shouldn't die for something she doesn't even know exsits.

"So Cas. How do you know about this girl?" Dean asked.

"I told you. She saw an angel's wings." He flopped his arms in frustration.

"Yeah, I know that much. But why is it a big deal?" Dean leaned forward on his knees and questioned Cas. "I'm guessing that this is something that is kinda personal."

"It's not personal." Cas lied.

"Then why are we here? A girl saw angel wings. Great. And who would want to hurt her."

If they only knew. Cas thought.
