This fish are known for their pink-colored scales. The adults spend most of their life swimming in the ocean. However during the mating season they make their way up freshwater streams to mate wherever they were born and lay their own eggs. After laying the eggs both parents end up dying before they're able to return to the ocean. So don't expect salmon to be related. The first generation lays the eggs, the parents die, the eggs hatch, grow up and start their journey downstream to complete their ocean life, then they return to mate upstream and lay their own clutch of eggs.
Predators:
Bears, Bald Eagles, and Humans

The predators are just the main ones I can say right off the top of my head.
