“Look! Di ba ako mabubwisit sa kanya? He is getting into my nerves lately at kapag talaga sobrang inis ko na mag-AAWOL nalang ako sa kanya. Abuse na to eh. Sobrang abuse na to!” I exclaimed to Nelly. Thank God it’s Saturday and I won’t see his face. Mababaliw na ako. After the Batangas event and conversation we had naging para na siyang sirang plakang, paulit-ulit.
At work he was fine. We don’t speak about personal things at work. He’s professional and I am too. We only discussed yun mga nangyayari sa loob ng clinic about patients, sa accounts and other concern regarding the clinic or the hospital but right after the clinic hours, pagkaalis na pagkaalis niya ng clinic he pestered me with text messages to go and sleep with him.
He never fails. Like today. God! Kung hindi niya ako I-sms, i-I-message niya ko, i-viber, i-email or worst tatawagan niya ko. Saying the same words na ‘Sleep with me’, ‘Have sex with me’, ‘Be my bed partner for the night’, at meron pa siyang mahaba-habang appeal ‘I am feeling hot wanna come to my pad so I can rub some of it to you’. Dyosko! Mababaliw na ako.
Nelly’s visiting and we are here sitting in the garden while pouring all the things in my chest.
Natatawa lang si Nelly habang pinapakita ko yun messages ni Tim. My God! He is a maniac, a lunatic, a soon to be rapist, a jerk, and a lot of bad things or bad adjectives to describe a person. He is the worst person ever!!
“Kung sobrang naiinis ka na Meg bakit hindi mo dinedelete yun messages niya? Hmmm?” I caught Nelly’s smirk.
“Eh.. eh.. kasi.. papakita ko sayo at evidence yan kung magfifile ako ng harassment case sa kanya. I am in danger here Nelly at hindi ito tama.”
“Meggie..Meggie.. Meggie..Harrassment case.. Hmm.. Pwede.. sige hanap ka ng lawyer to accept your case.”
Nanlaki nalang ang mata ko sa sinabi ni Nelly. Honestly?
“Oh tapos gaganyan-ganyan ka sakin? Meggie, what do you want, really? Do you want him to stop bugging you then say so.” Nagcross yun kama niya on her chest and she laid her back to the chair. She’s observing me.
“I did but he won’t stop. Kaya lately I am not replying. Bahala siya sa buhay niya.”
“So nagrereply ka pa? Hahahaha! It will be a matter of time at magsasawa din siya sayo. Pero Meggie why not sleep with him? Wala naman masama. You are attracted to him so badly bakit kelangan pigilan ang attraction?”
I raised a brow at her.
“Attraction cannot suffice alone Nelly. Not in my dictionary. Nelly, bakit ka nagkakaganyan? Asan na yun value system mo?”
“My God Meggie don’t attack my personality because it’s you who needed the advice. Ang sinasabi ko lang why not give it to him. Bahala ka maraming nakapilang babae sa kanya. Ngayon nga siya na yun lapit ng lapit sayo ayaw mo pa, kapag nawala yan mamimiss mo yan. Kaya grab the opportunity! Chance favors the prepared mind.”
“Nelly? Yan ba ang naidudulot ng pagiging teacher sayo? At please lang wag mong isama ang favorite quote na favorite writer natin na si MRJUANTAMAD! Nelly there is more to it than that. Not attraction lang. Look, he is guy who has not experience any relationship sa opposite sex of course other than sexual relationship. He is someone na ibabalewala ka lang after na may mangyari sa inyo and I am not prepared for that. I am not like that. Kung gagawin ko man yun sa taong mahal ko lang at hindi sa taong nakangitian ko lang sa kanto dahil gwapo siya! I offered him friendship, that’s the least that I could give him to know him better but he declined. So wala siya talagang pupuntahan. Siya yun impossible sa lahat ng impossible. Palagay ko hindi siya marunong magbuild ng relationship sa isang tao, hindi siya marunong magmahal!”
