24. Company

"So here will be your room Sonic." Rouge tells him as she opens the peach door, just near Shadow's room. "Whoa." Sonic says, awed by how the room was very organized and neat. Rather than his own room back from his house, which is quiet messy.

"This place is neat!" He says giving her a thumbs up. She giggles and let's him in. Sonic then puts his luggage down and then jumped to a huge guest bed and lays there. He stare at the ceiling and had a moment for himself. "You sure you'll stay here for a while?" She asks. "Yeah, I'll handle it here. Besides, this room is pretty comfy. Ooh, and the bed."

Rouge chuckled. "Alright then blue. See you at lunch." She tells him, closing the door. Sonic puts his hands on his belly and stares up the ceiling. It was a good, peaceful minute for him today. I can't believe. I'm really staying over at Shadow's manor! Well, I've been staying here often. But this is different. He then thinks deeply for a moment.

Or could he have let me stay because of...

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and this startled the deep-in-thought hedgehog. He didn't bothered to stand up so he shouted out. "Come in!" Shadow was there. He look Sonic to see him laying on his guest bed. He then goes to the window and leaned on the wall. "Having a moment to yourself, faker?" He asked.

Sonic then startling sit up, surprised to see the black hedgehog there. "Oh. Yeah I guess so Shadow." He says, scratching the back of his neck and have his sheepish smile. Shadow then crept up a huge smirk in his face and have thise mischievous look in his eyes as he stares at Sonic.

The blue hedgehog looks at him nervously. Why does he look at me like that? Is he gonna do something to me? Oh not here, in the bed... Wait, what am I even thinking?!

"Don't worry faker. If you're thinking of playing with on the bed with me, you're having a minor injury in your mind." Shadow retorts having that smirk again. Sonic felt himself blush of embarrassment. "That's n-not what I m-meant." He stammers. Shadow rolled his eyes then uncrossed his arms and walked over to him.

He leaned closer to him and Sonic felt himself sweating. "Uh... Shadow."

"Since you're staying here in my manor." Shadow begins, locking his eyes to Sonic. "And you'll be making me happy. Then you better do your job right. And just to notify you, when Rouge's not around, you gotta do the chores around here. Got it?" He says in a stern, but sexy way that would make the other one pee on his bed.

He gulps and nods. Shadow then moves away from him and goes out the room. "Also, go down faker. Lunch's ready for you." He says before completely disappearing out of his sight. When the coast was clear, Sonic sighed in relief as he fell down the bed. He felt himself huffing and breathing rapidly. His heart was thumping fast, and he felt himself falling for that edgy hedgehog.

"Don't worry Shadow." Sonic whispers to himself. "I'll make sure to make you happy always."

After that lunch, Rouge told the guys she'll be going to GUN, then flew off. This leaves the two hedgehogs in the manor. What mischief could they do?

"Hey uh, Shadow. This is unusually, awkward. Don't you think?" Sonic says to the black one. "Why? When Rouge leaves and just the two of us? Well, I couldn't help but agree more with you." Shadow replies with a huff.

Hey, it's the first time he actually agrees with me. Or maybe it's just coincidence. Sonic thought. He kept staring at him endlessly. Shadow turns to look at him and gives him a smirk.

"Faker, you could take a picture to last longer." He tells him. This made Sknic huff and look away. "Yeah right. Like I would got a camera anyway." He replies. He still looks at him. Sonic rolls his eyes. "Just tell me I'm that handsome, ey Shadster?" He teases.

Shadow's eyes widen as he frowns. "You're still smugly." He retorts standing up. "Hey! Where are you going?" Sonic calls out, standing up and following him too. He stop in his tracks causing Sonic to bump onto his back.

"That wasn't very nice of you." Sonic says with a pout. Shadow chuckles and turns around to look at him. "You're quiet cute when you pout." He replies and his made Sonic blush, but out on a smirk. He then lean over to Shadow with those flirty eyes of him and this made Shadow squeak.

"Uh... W-what are you doing?" Shadow stammers. He was sweating beads and his face was blushing red. Sonic grins then his nose touched his. Oh chaos I hope this isn't...

"Bahahahaha!" Sonic laughs as he pulls away from him. Seeing Shadow's priceless face, didn't made him continue what he was about to do so he laughed. "Faker!!!" Shadow yells angrily yen pounces onto him. "Ah! Shadow!" Sonic shouts, as he rolled on the floor.

He escape from Shadow's grip and then begin to run around the manor. "Come back here Sonic the Hedgehog!" Shadow shouts, chasing him. "You gotta catch me first! Faker!" Sonic yells back, sticking out his tongue then runs. Shadow smirks as he suddenly disappeared behind him.

"Huh?!" Sonic says quizzically. Skidding to a stop from the second floor he looks around and Shadow was nowhere to be found.

"Shadow?" He calls out. Suddenly, Shadow appears from right infront of him causing Sonic to be startled and fall down on his butt. This time Shadow lets out a laugh. Sonic was shocked by what happened but he can't even believe more that right in front of him. Shadow was bursting out happiness.

Shadow never felt this happy before. He leaned onto the wall and held his tummy, wiping off a real tear of how, he says. "F-faker! Your f-face was... P-priceless! HAHAHAHA!" He continues to laugh. Sonic smiles and rolls his eyes as he stands up. He was glad to make him happy. After all, it was what he was here for.

"Alright Shadow, you had enough of laughing for one time now." He tells him and going near him. Shadow calmed himself but still in a fit of laughter. "I-I'll try." He says, snickering. Sonic turns around to face him. Couldn't help but chuckle.

"I told you I can make you smile Shadow, but laughing was a bonus!" Sonic says, raising his hand up and hi-fiving himself. Shadow rolled his eyes. "Yeah. I think I'll like your company here." He says with a shrug and he comes down the stairs.

Sonic follows from behind. He was exhausted, yet happy. "Hey... Could..." Shadow speaks, but couldn't find some words to say. Sonic chuckles by his stammer. "What then?" He asks, stopping and looks at him. Shadow stares at his eyes and he seems to be shy to talk to him.

"What's this? The Ultimate Liferom is being shy around me now? Where is this Shadow the Hedgehog I knew before? Who tried to fight against me with all his confidence?" He teases and Shadow blushed at this.

"Shut it Faker. I w-won't even tell you anymore." Shadow grumped and walk past him. "Hey! Come on! Don't be shy!" Sonic catches up with him and stopping in front of him. "I was just only kidding around, to make you happy right?" He says with an innocent smile.

Shadow sighs, he couldn't stay that angry to his faker forever. Right? And his reason here is to make him happy. And prevent that damn demon from coming back. He then looks at his eyes and leans to him closer, making Sonic surprise again.

"Uhh... Shadow you got a lot of surprising up your sleeves." Sonic comments and laughs nervously then gulps. "I... Will return the favor of saving me from Eggman, and staying here to take care of me." Shadow says shyly. Sonic eyes became curious.

Suddenly, Shadow gave Sonic a short kiss on the lips and pulls away before walking past him. Both felt fireworks from the kiss as Sonic looks back at Shadow who goes to the kitchen.

He had a goofy smile on his face and follows down. Shadow as preparing their dinner and comes up behind him. "Shadow... You like me?" He asks, he was desperate for an answer. Noth at too desperate like girls would do. But was just desperately curious.

Shadow grinned. "You'll find out, a while sooner." Shadow says smugly who goes to the table and prepares the food. "Come on!" Sonic says, blushing like an idiot he is for asking and stomps back to the living. Shadow looks at him and whispers to himself.

"I actually like you too."
