The rest of the school day goes by pretty fast. So far I haven't seen Tiffy or Liam in any of my classes which I was hoping we would have some together since they're my only friends here.

My last class of the day was English. I had this class with Harry but he doesn't seem to talk to me much and when he does, he's nothing but rude to me for no reason. I don't know what's wrong with him. I walk into the class and take a seat in the back. I'm the first one here, I guess I came too early. While waiting, I decided to get up to re-sharpen my pencils. Mrs. Carter, the teacher, gives me a smile and tells me that I can use the manual one that is located at her desk in the front of the classroom.

I hear a loud thud to my right which is where the door is. I see a brunette girl on the floor and her book me scattered around everywhere. She looks scared as she picks herself up and rushes to get her things off of the floor.

"You okay?" I ask her nicely and she looks up at me like she's confused.

She doesn't answer but I help her with her things and hand them to her when she is completely on her feet.

"Thank you." She sweetly responds and before I can speak, a familiar voice speaks before me.

"Maybe you should watch where you're going next time." Harry is so rude to this poor girl.

"Maybe you should watch where you put your foot." She angrily responds. I look over at Harry and he looks at me with an angry look.

I grab ahold of the girls arm before he can respond back to her and make my way to my desk where she can sit next to me.

"He's such a fucking asshole." Wow. Okay I wasn't expecting that to come out of her mouth. She makes herself appear so innocent. Her long brown hair and dark brown eyes make her look so nice and genuine. She pushes up her glasses and looks at me and smiles.

"Thanks for helping me, you didn't have to." She says.

"I wanted to." I smile back.

Just when she was about to speak I focus my attention to the person that just walked in. Liam. He's with a boy with black hair that goes to a quiff, a brunette who seems to be the joker because I can tell how they're all laughing at something he's said. Liam's eye catches me and gives me the biggest smile as waves. I wave back and he goes to sit next to Harry. They must be friends. But how? Liam is so nice and Harry is just...a jerk.

"You know Liam Payne?" The girl asks me with wide eyes and tries her best to whisper.

"Um- yeah kinda, why? Are you guys friends?" I ask her and she sakes her head really fast and laughs.

"I wish. I wish more too. He's so cute and sweet. I don't understand why he's even friends with my brother."

Her brother?

Harry is her brother?

"Harry? Harry's your brother?" I ask her.

She laughs a little. "Well, step brother. We don't really get along so well since his mom married my dad two weeks ago. He's not very fond of the marriage." She tells me.

I look over to my right to see Harry. His eyes meet mine and I look away quickly. I don't want him to know that she's talking about him.

"I'm Abby, by the way." She takes her hand out for me to shake.

"Bethany." I tell her and shake her hand.

The rest of the class went pretty fast. Today we just had to do packet work..just reading a story and answering questions for a grade.

When class ended I exchanged numbers with Abby and told her that if text her later.

I stop at my locker to put my books away that I don't need, and grab the ones that I do need for homework. I never minded homework, I actually like school.

I grab my jacket and when I shut my locker Liam was next to me and behind him were the blonde that was in art, the brunette, the dark haired boy and Harry.

Harry seems to be waiting impatiently while Liam starts to talk.

"Hey." He says.

"Hi." I say with a smile.

"These are my friends. This is Niall,-" he points to the blonde. "Louis," pointing to the brunette "Zayn" the dark Haired boy. "And that's Harry." I wave to them and they wave back. All but Harry.

"I know." I tell Liam.

"You know them?" He asks.

"Well, I know Harry. And I saw each of you in atleast one of my classes.

"You don't know me." Harry raises his voice a little. He's right I don't know him, I only know of him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean that."

He doesn't answer but Liam and I exchange numbers and said he'd text me later about plans that he would like me to attend over the weekend.

When I get home I'm greeted by my parents who seem too happy for some reason.

"Hello sweetie!" My mother cheers through the living room and comes and gives me a hug.

"How was your first day of school?" My father asks.

"It was fine, actually. I made some friends." They have the biggest smiles on their faces.

"That's woderful! We have a new co-worker and to get to know them better, they will be coming over for dinner!-"

I know where this is going. They're going to want me to change into something fancy and put on expensive jewelry and do my hair.

"You'll need to do your hair, makeup and change your clothes." My mother finishes.

"What is wrong with the way I look, mother?" I ask her.

"Sweetie, I said we are having company. You can't be looking like that when we have guests." I nod and start to make my way to the staircase.

"They will be bringing their kids too, maybe you know them from around school." She adds and I make my way to the top of the stairs and get dolled up to impress people I don't even know.

Even thought my family is rich and classy, I'm not. I don't like all of the fancy decorations and clothing. I don't like all of the expensive cars and jewelry. I don't want to be a lawyer, I want to be an artist. I want people to be inspired by my paintings and drawing. I want them to know me, the real me and not just a girl who lives off of diamonds and money.

My mom told me to wear a light blue dress that reached on too of my knees and is designed to be like a cocktail dress. I curl my blonde wavy hair and I only apply mascara. I hate wearing makeup. I was born without makeup and God made me this way, so why should I feel the need to cover up the imperfections and qualities he's given me?

---

It's been an hour and a half and our "guests" should be here any minute. I go into my bathroom to make sure my appearance is well prepared so I won't have to hear from my mother that my look was wrong. After curling one piece of hair that I've seen to miss my mothers voice coo's from down the hall and down the stairs. I faintly hear her because of the size of the house but I know that it means that our guests are here.

I make my way down the stairwell and look up to see Abby and Harry standing in the doorway.

"BETHANY!" Abby runs up to me and hugs me tightly. She clearly didn't know that it was me that lived her. I am completely thrown off and stumble back a little from the hug.

She let's go and smiles at me and I'm so happy that she's here. My smile fades when I look up at Harry and see the annoyed look on his face, clearly not happy to be here at all.
