Chapter Thirty Five

A/N: Okay so I can't find anything decent on my research about this place so I'm not sure about almost anything. Oops.

October 17

"Hey everyone." I wave into the camera. Kaylin wants me to film today so I guess I am. "So, recently I've been on vacation and the whole squad has been here. Nat, Halston, Kaylin, Austin, Justice, Cara, everyone. So today we're going on some Aquaventure thing and it's gonna be cool. But before we go, Kaylin and I are actually going to do a cover this time." Kaylin pops up beside me from the floor and waves into the camera. 

"What song we gonna sing Pops?" Kaylin looks over at me with a grin.

"Oh CeCilia by The Vamps featuring Shawn Mendes!" 

"Heh remember when I told Brad he had a nice face?" 

I nod and we start singing. 

After we're finished recording we make our way to the van where everyone was waiting for us. Today's the last day in the Bahamas before it's time to head back to Florida. Then everyone will be gone again. I'm not ready to see them off. 

"Y'know what's ironic?" Kaylin asks me as I get buckled up. I look up at her to show I'm listening. "We're going to Paradise Island. An island. What if we get stranded like they did in The Vamps music video for Oh Cecilia?" She grins. 

I laugh. "That'd be bad." 

"Austin why did we have to come? I thought we were planning to go on our date today?" I can hear Grace whine from the middle of the van. Austin and I still haven't spoken. To be honest I don't know why he even showed up. Grace sure as hell didn't want to be here so why would he?

"ATLANTIS SQUAREPANTIS." Nat yells as soon as we're docked onto the island. There's a place called Atlantis here or something and that was the first thing Nat must have thought about when he saw it.

Right now we're all in line for a ride. On this one I'm riding with Kaylin since it's double tubed. Turns out this whole place is basically water slides, like actual slides, so I'm going to have to face my fears and go down them. This time I made sure my top was on tight to where there wouldn't be any mishaps. 

"This reminds me of that one ride at Splash Country." Kaylin says as we're next in line.

When it's our turn to ride we argue who's going to be in the front which ends in the overseer person making me get in the front.

After we're both situated, we're sent hurtling down the tunnel which is completely dark. We both scream and then 40 seconds later we've reached the bottom and are floating down some river thing.

"ARE WE UNDER WATER? I SWEAR I JUST SAW SOMETHING ABOVE US." Kaylin yells, looking up over the glass roof. I don't remember this being a part of the ride.

We crash right into the steps. Chandler and Nat help us out and we put our tube back in the thing it goes in.

"That was terrifying." I mutter.

We all walk to another ride and walk up the steps. What is with rides and stairs? Can they not just install an elevator? Is that even safe? 

On this ride, I'm the first to be sent down on the tube. I squeeze my eyes shut. For the most part it's dark until I feel myself being slung around in the tube. I reopen my eyes and notice that I'm now in the lazy river rapids part.

"IF YOU ALL CAN HEAR ME I HATE YOU." I yell hoping my friends behind me can hear me. I really hope they didn't chicken out. Which is why I went first because I started to try and go back down but they blocked me so I had to go first. Sigh.
