Summer Day 10

When we came home last night, after being bombarded with questions from my mom and brother about the 'date', I fell asleep.

Today, we're going out to buy Karson's party stuff. Mom and Kaylin's parents agreed to take Karson out to Splash Country today and out shopping tomorrow or something while we set up.

Kaylin's not shut up about the date yesterday, and it's actually getting annoying. "Dude, just tell me what happened. Like you said, it was just a dare so why does it matter?"

"It matters because he said if there wasn't such an age difference then he would ask me out on another one." I snap and I instantly regret it. "Oh gosh. Kay I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude." I tell her, but she's smiling.

"Don't apologize. You're just in looooovee." She says dragging out the word 'Love'. I roll my eyes and slip on my Keds.

"Whatever." I mumble. "They'll be here soon, we should go wait for them." I tell her.

Soon enough the others pull up in the van. We hop in our normal spots and Austin smiles at me. Why must he be so adorable ugh.

"So, party supplies. What do we need?" Nat asks.

"We can decide when we get there. That's usually what we always do." Kaylin tells him and he nods.

"What do 14 year olds like these days?"

This may be harder than we thought.

Once we find a parking space at Walmart, Nat hands Kaylin and I sunglasses. I stare at him with a confused look as everyone else puts them on too.

"Disguise." He explains. "Out of all the places we've been to, you choose walmart, an indoor building, to wear sunglasses?" I ask and then he hands us each a snapback. Someone came prepared.

The seven of us casually walk into Walmart and head to the party aisle. "Okay, so I'll go get the cake and food, and you guys go get the party supplies." I tell them and they nod. Austin offers to come with me and I allow him to.

"They were bugging me about the date." He says as I grab a buggy. "Oh yeah, same. Kaylin wouldn't shut up about it." I say.

Once we're over at the bakery part of the store I grab one of the lookbooks and search through it. Austin does the same.

"He does sports, right?" Austin asks and I nod. "Yeah uh Baseball." That's one thing Karson and I don't have in common. He does sports. I mean, I tried doing sports in Middle School, but realized how unathletic I was and never made any teams.

Austin shows me a birthday cake and I nod. "That one looks like something he'd like."

The bakery lady comes over and smiles at us. "What can I help you with?" She asks in a polite voice. People are so nice here oh my gosh.

"This cake." I tell her and she nods. "What size?" She asks. I look to Austin for help. There's going to be at least 13 people there, so I guess a 1/4 sheet. I tell her that and she nods. "When does it need to be ready?"

"By today." I mumble and she nods. "We can do it. Can you pick it up at 2?" She asks and I nod. "Yeah, sure." I tell her and we walk away.

"We still have an hour. What else do we need?" Austin asks. "Probably like um, chips I guess, and drinks. I'm not sure what all we have back at the Cabin so that'll probably be it." I tell him and he nods.

We spend the next 30 minutes throwing random things that we find useful into the buggy, like Ice cream, chips, mac and cheese, pizza, other party foods, and then go to the party aisles to find the rest of our group.

Before we even make it halfway to them, we hear Nat shout "For Narnia!" on the other end of the store. In the toy aisle more than likely.

Austin and I both share a glance and walk as fast as we can to the giant manchild.

Once we get there, we find Nat, Kaylin, and Cara on little bicycles with noodles and attacking each other with them. Halston and Justice are laughing, and adults are giving them weird looks.

This may explain the disguises.

"You doofs. What the heck are you doing?"  I ask, carefully pushing the buggy to the end of the aisle.

The three of them stop dead in their tracks. "Um, well you see. We'd got the presents and supplies and everything, we kind of got bored and were already near the aisle, and I found noodles." Nat tries to explain. "I knew leaving them alone was a bad idea." Austin mutters. "Same, but they had Halston and Justice, so I thought they could handle it." I laugh.

The three of them put their bicycles and noodles away and pout. "You guys are lame." Kaylin sticks her tongue out.

I go over to their buggy to see what all they have.

A pinata, a lot of candy, paper plates, cups, napkins, all the usual party neccessities, and Jenga. Kaylin must of got that. She loves the game.

"We need to go get the cake." I tell them and they nod.

Once we're back to the cabin, we all put the stuff in a secret hiding spot, and the cake hidden in the fridge to make sure Karson doesn't see it.

Right now, everyone's sitting around the living room in silence and watching Paper Towns. Kaylin wanted to watch it just to see what it was like watching it with the cast or something.

When the Pokemon scene comes on, I start to smile. This scene was one of my favorites in the whole movie.

Austin, Nat, and Justice started singing along, which turned into everyone full out singing the entire song.

Somehow, we all knew the words. It's been years since I've watched Pokemon so that's kind of a shock.

It starts getting late and the cast heads back to their hotel.

I really hope Karson's going to like this.

[I'm gonna add the next day onto here because the next one is going to be really short and not that like descriptive. It makes sense in my head ok]

[UPDATE: I added a little more to it.]

Summer Day 11

The next day Mom and Kaylin's parents took Karson out to do go karts or something. The cast showed up at 9 to start getting ready.

It took about an hour for everything to get set up, mainly because Nat kept trying to eat the candy in the Pinata, but whatever.

Now, all of us are sitting around blowing up balloons with Karson. He was really happy about the whole surprise birthday party thing.

"Hey, can I see some scissors?" Nat asks and Kaylin hands him some. Before I know it I hear a 'snip' and I feel a slimy liquid squirt on my face. I turn my head and see Nat had cut a glow stick and some of it landed on me.

Kaylin grins and does the same, thus leading to the glow stick war.

By the time the party was over everyone was glowing and laughing. Today was a pretty good day.

[A/N: I may come back later and redo that part. I don't know, what do you think? Like I really don't know ugh. And sorry for the crappy updates. My internet is being really slow lately, so like it's not saving what I write and everything. Anyways. Have a lovely day
