Chapter nineteen

“Oh my god.” I said breathlessly as I turned to look at Luca.

He was laid on the bed beside me; he looked just as exhausted as me. Plus he had a goofy happy grin on his face which made me chuckle a little.

“What’s so funny?” he asked, rolling onto his side.

“Nothing you just look so happy.” I replied smiling up at him.

“Well you make me happy.” He said softly as he leaned over and kissed my cheek.

I couldn’t help but blush; he always knew how to make me feel special. I love the way he looked at me with such affection. I knew he would never leave me; he would stay by my side through thick and thin. I placed my small pale hand on his hard chest; I could feel his heart racing. I closed my eyes and just concentrated on its rhyme, his heart was in time with mine. Ours hearts were beating together, we were one. A small smile grew on my lips; I was filled with pure happiness. I felt as though my body was glowing, my skin tingled. I felt different, I was changing somehow. I felt as though I was waking up from a lifelong sleep, like I was being reborn.

“What’s wrong?” I heard Luca ask.

“Nothing, I just feel so alive. I feel different, I feel amazing.” I answered opening my eyes and looking over at him.

“You look amazing too.” he said huskily, as he began run his fingers up and down my thigh.

I couldn’t help but smile; there was nothing I loved more than the feeling of him touching me. Even more so when his touch sent tingles all over my body. The sensation was much stronger than ever before, everything had intensified. If he continued I’d be ready for round two. I looked over at him as I heard him chuckle.

     “What?” I asked.

“I’m just sensing your mood; I never knew it would quite like this when we completed the mating process.” He replied.

I laid there confused by what he had just said. Thoughts were running through my head as I tried to make sense of it. I was so lost in my thoughts that I hadn’t even noticed he was kissing my neck that was until his lips brushed against my mark. I let out a loud moan and gripped onto the duvet, bringing me back to the present. With all my will power I somehow managed to push him away a little. I had to know what he meant, sensing my mood.

     “Luca stop.” I said weakly.

“Why what’s wrong?” he asked quickly, concern written all over his face.

“What did you mean by you were sensing my mood?” I asked quietly, feeling a little embarrassed for some reason.

I hated it when I seemed out of the loop about something to do with being a Lycan, it just reminded that I was really an outsider. It reminded me how little I know about my kind, well almost my kind.

“Well now that we are mates completely, the connection between us is stronger. Your scent changes, depending on your mood. For example it gets stronger when you’re turned on, it’s driving me wild.” He said huskily as moved closer to me, his lips hovering above mine.

“Is it really?” I asked mischievously.

I slide my hand down his hard chiselled chest, down his flat toned six-pack and down even further to discover if it really was driving him wild. My eyes grew wide as I felt the hardness of him against my hand. I smiled as I noticed him bite his lip as my hand touched him, making me want him even more.
