Mercy sat in the parlor of her home, it was a lovely sunny morning. She was sitting in a comfy burgundy arm chair looking out the window, she was tapping her fingers on a small table. She had a look of frustration and exhaustion, she was waiting patiently for Grell to bring her a breakfast he had promised to make. She was wearing a light sundress that was a deep shade of forest green, it was the favorite color of her beloved older brother. It had been a month since she had sent a letter to her brother requesting he ask his church and church order he come to England on a mission trip. Mercy had planned to throw a welcome party for him, but she so desperately wanted to cancel the party. She had invited many people and three reapers and about five or six demons to the party as well. Her older brother was a pastor with a wife named Stephanie, they were both beyond exceptional demon hunters. Mercy was afraid of what may happen at the welcome party when her brother James met the demons. Would he and his wife kill them all or would they just ignore it and be off on their mission of spreading faith through out England. She didn't know what to do, she especially didn't know what to do if her brother found out about her and Grell. And about the things they had done in bed together, and with Undertaker that one time. She sighed hoping it would go smoothly. Just then Grell came in with a tea tray that had Belgium waffles and strawberries and coffee.

"I brought you breakfast my love." Sang Grell as he presented the lovely breakfast to Mercy. "Something troubling you my darling?"

"I think we should cancel the party." Said Mercy as she continued to look out the window.

"What? Cancel the party but why?" Asked Grell as he set the tray down and got on his knee to look up at Mercy. "What's troubling you Jacklyn?"

"What is my brother going to say when he see's Sebastian and Ceil's eye? What is he going to say when he see's Aloi's servant's?" Asked Mercy as Grell held her hand.

"He'll understand your situation, as to why you couldn't kill any of them." Said Grell as he kissed her hand.

"But what if... What if he feels.... Ashamed of me?" Asked Mercy as her eye's began to water. "What if I let him down again?"

"Jacklyn Maria Martinez, you will not let your older brother down." Said Grell in a confidant voice. "He is your brother and loves you, he will understand."

"But what if he doesn't, what if he tell's me all the options again?" She said as she stood from the arm chair. "Can't we just cancel the party?"

"No we can't just cancel the party." Said Grell as he got up and wrapped his arms around Mercy's waist. "Today is the day of the party, it's far too late to cancel."

"Are you sure? Do you think everyone I've asked will come?" Asked Mercy as she placed her hands on Grell's forearms. "I mean I made a terrible impression on Alister..... What if he hates me and calls the police?"

"Are you kidding me?" Said Grell as he turned Mercy to face him. "Did you see how excited he was when you apologized to him at his door? He was so excited he practically sang in acceptance of your invitation."

"Well... What about that Soma kid?" Asked Mercy. "What if he doesn't show?"

"That story about the tea making them sick convinced him well enough. I'm sure he believed you." Said Grell as he held Mercy close to his chest. "Calm down my love, everything will be fine. Now I'm going to go pick up your brother and his wife after I finish the decorations. And you will sit down and eat your breakfast." Said Grell as he made Mercy sit back down in the arm chair and placed the tea tray in her lap.

"Oh alright, but I'm still concerned." Said Mercy as she looked at Grell's yellow and green eyes. "What if William brings up work?"

"I'll ask him kindly to keep off that subject then." Said Grell as he placed a kiss on Mercy's lips. "Now I'm going to go finish decorating you just go ahead and enjoy your breakfast." He said before leaving the room to tend the party's preparations. Mercy was left in her parlor to eat her breakfast, however her worries had left her with nausea and a loss of appetite. She was thinking hard on what would happen today at the party. Would her brother accept all of this? Or would he reject her and make her feel convicted the way he always did? She was unsure and hopped that he would feel welcomed when he arrived. She hopped that nothing would ruin this day, she especially hopped her brother would notice that Sebastian was marked. The clock had struck noon and Grell was off to go pick up her brother, while he was off Mercy would wait for their guests.
