In just forty five minutes, the year twenty sixteen will come about.

Its the thirty first of December today, and this evening everyone chose to head to the beach bash being hosted by fellow youtuber, Kian Lawley to ring the new year in. Liah and Carter have made peace, so they're here as well, and so is everyone else. We're not really sure where Teresa and Matt were at the moment, but we're pretty sure they're getting cozy in a corner. (No, not that kind of cozy).

The air was warm for a December evening as we all sat outside around the massive bonfire.

"Your hair smells nice," Cameron mumbled as he rested his chin on top of my head. "Like apples or something."

"That's creepy," I laughed.

"I'm not creepy," He scoffed.

"But you can be," I retaliated.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," He said, scoffing once more before laughing.

"You're too special," I giggled as he kissed my forehead.

"You guys are literally so gross," Liah said, scrunching her nose up at us.

"At least we're not short," I sniggered, earning a high five from Heather.

"You wanna go? Cause I'll fight you, small child," She sassed.

"She's taller and older than you, so calling her small child isn't exactly in context," Heather laughed.

"Logic has no place in this conversation," She shrugged, causing me to chuckle a bit.

Look, I doubt Liah's back to her old self because the whole Carter/Maggie scandal took a lot out of her, but she's semi-okay now.

"Guys, oh my god," Carmen gasped, nodding her head to the right.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" Liah scoffed with a laugh.

"Uh, who we looking at?" Gilinsky asked.

"Her," I frowned, pointing my finger at the one person we all never expected to see here. Jade Heitor.

The six of us all went to high school together, honestly, she was as annoying as fuck.

"She's coming over here," Heather said frowning.

"What's the big deal? Who is she?" Carter asked.

"An old high school acquaintance," Liah answered.

"Woah, guys! Long time no see!" Jade exclaimed as she walked over to us.

"Uh, Jade, nice to see you too," Carmen said.

"What are you doing here?" Heather asked her.

"Oh, Kian's my cousin," She told us.

Woah, what? She and Kian are cousins?

"Oh, uh, cool," Liah said awkwardly.

Next to me, Cam cleared his throat.

"Oh um, Jade, this is Cameron, my boyfriend, and that's Carter, Jack, and Taylor," I introduced her to the guys.

"Ohh, so you're all the special guys in these ladies' lives," She winked, causing the girls and I to give each other the wtf kinda look.

"Uh, yeah," Carter laughed awkwardly.

"You know, I also have a special guy in my life," She said, trying to flatter herself.

"You have a boyfriend?" Liah blurted out, sounding as surprised as hell and earning a nudge from Carmen.

"Uh, yeah," She nodded.

"How'd you guys meet?" I asked, trying so hard to contain my giggles. She actually has a boyfriend.

"I decided to become a sponsor for the blind, and I was his," She explained.

"Oh, so he's blind?" Carmen asked. Next to her, it looked like Liah and Heather were about to die due to the laughter they were holding in.

"Yeah, but love is love," She said with a smile. "Anyways, I have to go. See you guys around, and nice to meet you boys," She said, before turning around and leaving.

As soon as she was within an earshot, the girls and I burst into laughter.

"He's blind? That literally explains so much," Liah said, struggling to catch her breath.

"Woah, babe, isn't that a little mean?" Carter asked, even though he couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"I'm sorry, but it's Jade," I said, "we can be as mean as we want."

"Woah, were guys are like the mean girls of the grade or what?" Gilinsky asked with a laugh.

"Of course not," Liah scoffed. "We just say things like it is."

Just then, Cameron's phone started ringing, causing him to excuse himself from our circle and headed somewhere quieter to answer the call.

I couldn't help but smile a little as I looked over at my friends. Heather and Taylor are as happy as can be and they're really cute together. Carmen and Gilinsky are still hella adorable, and he literally makes her blush like all the time, especially when he calls her babygirl, and trust me, he knows the effect he has on her when he does. And Liah and Carter, well they're taking things slowly again. He's been trying so hard to prove to her that Maggie and that stupid video ment nothing to him, but she doesn't trust easily and therefore they're going slow. Oh, and Matt and Teresa, well there's definitely something up between them. But then again, Teresa doesn't kiss and tell.

"Yo, countdown in a minute!" We heard Kian yell into the microphone. Standing up, I quickly went to go look for Cam because I'm not ringing in the new year without him by my side.

Spotting him in a corner, I headed over to him. His back was turned so that he hadn't seen me and he was still on the phone. As I approached him, I couldn't help but frown as I heard his conversation.

"Yeah, don't worry, she won't find out. Cait will never know," He was saying. "No, she has no idea, and it needs to stay that way." What don't I know about? What needs to be kept from me?

By now, the ten second countdown had started.

"Yeah, thanks, Stella. You're amazing," He said. By now my frown was deeper than the freaking ocean. Tf is Stella?

"5!"

"4!"

"3!"

"Yeah, love you too."

"2!"

"1!"

And that, folks, is how I rang in the new year. Listening to my boyfriend talk to some other girl.

And if this secret being kept from me by him and some other girl means that he's being unfaithful, then yeah, that sucks.

Well then, happy twenty-fucking-sixteen to me.

Ugh, so I need to rant real quick. So like have that one person in your class and her group of friends and they're so fucking irritating and all you want is for them to all like fall off of the earth or all just be shot by a mass murderer? Like, that's honestly how I feel about Jade. And she has these awful glasses and they basically stick to her face and make her look like a fish, and like, I'm not offending anyone with glasses (bc I wear them too. Weak af vision bro), but fuck, she should have just gotten normal ones, but goddamn, she irritates me so much.

Sorry, I just needed to rant. That's why I was so mean about her in this chapter. And also cause I'm a judgemental asshole with no soul.

Oh, and I'll be doing triple updates bc I haven't updated in like 535 years. x
