~Carmen~

"Carmen," Liah's voice said as she walked into the kitchen and then propped herself up onto the island next to me.

"Hey," I said to her.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked as she stuck her hand into the packet of gummy fruits I was eating and then put them in her mouth.

"Yeah, sure," I said, mirroring her actions.

"Okay, so I'm not tripping or anything, I swear," She began, "but would you like find it odd if like, your boyfriend was hanging out with his ex?" She asked.

"Wait, what?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Okay, so like, just before Christmas right, Carter and I were at the airport and then Maggie, you know, Maggie Lindemann, like, she texted him right, asking to make plans to hangout and like, it turns out that they've hungout before," She explained.

"Wait, Carter's hanging out with Maggie? Why?" I questioned.

"Apparently they saw each other at the mall while he was shopping and they had lunch and then they've hungout several times after that," She told me.

"Woah, that must suck," I sighed, kinda getting what she was saying.

"Like, am I just being myself and overreacting for no reason or like..." She trailed off.

"I really don't know," I said honestly, not knowing what kind of advise to give her, "but maybe just wait a while and if they keep hanging out and stuff, ask him about it."

"You think?" She asked.

"Yeah, totally," I nodded.

"Alright yeah, I'll do that," She said, before hugging me and then walking out the kitchen.

I couldn't help but feel for Liah and her situation. I kinda feel the same way. After it was all over the internet, Jack and I spoke about the Madison duet thing, and he assured me that he really didn't want to do it, but its what has to be done if he wants to advance his career, and I understand that. And I trust him as well, so I doubt he'd let anything happen again, plus Johnson doesn't like her either, so he'll also probably want to get all of it over and done with.

Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I answered without even looking at the caller ID.

"Hey, babygirl," Jack's voice said through the receiver.

"Oh, hey," I said with a small smile.

"Listen, about tonight, can I take a rain check? The producers want us to try and maybe finishing the final cut of the song tonight so we're probably gonna pull and all nighter," He told me.

"Oh um, okay, yeah, that's no problem," I said.

"Cool, I'll message you later," He said.

"Yeah, okay," I said.

"Love you," He said.

"Love you too," I said before the call was disconnected.

I couldn't help but frown as I put my phone down. I mean, I get that this song has to be finished, but Madison though...

I'm being a jealous girlfriend, aren't I? I'm getting myself worked up over nothing.

Shaking my head clear of all thoughts, I picked up my phone and then clicked on the twitter icon and went through my timeline, just favouriting and retweeting stuff when suddenly my phone did that annoying thing when I just randomly takes me right back up to the top and my eyes landed on a tweet that Madison had sent out that someone had retweeted to make it end up on my timeline.

@MadisonElleBeer: Good times with @JackandJack in the studio. Just like the old days, G. x

Now my frown was extra deep. What does she mean by 'Just like the old days, G'?

No shut up, Carmen! I mentally scolded myself. I'm literally just getting myself so worked up for no reason at all.

But one thing's for sure. My suspicions will never ever become a reality because I sure as hell will never let them.

The ball is my caught, and its gonna stay there.
